#Armor Retexturing

do you have the game unpacked with uxm?
doing that now
Alright, after that you'll also need Yabber to unpack some of the archives further. UXM just unpacks the big archives but the game files such as textures are stored in several smaller ones, which Yabber is used to unpack when needed
You'll need to use yabber to unpack the archive for the armor piece you want inside the "parts" folder. The names/IDs of the archives can be found here: https://github.com/MaxTheMiracle/Dark-Souls-3-Parts-Files/blob/master/Elden Ring
where do i find the unpacked files from UXM?
found it nvm
@elfin berry alright i unpacked it with uxm its giving me errors for uploading the dcx file onto the exe
Decompressing DCX: bd_f_2201.partsbnd.dcx...
In order to decompress .dcx files from Sekiro, you must copy oo2core_6_win64.dll from Sekiro into Yabber's lib folder.
One or more errors were encountered and displayed above.
Press any key to exit.
even though im not using Sekiro im using elden ring idk what this is
You need to copy the oo2core from the elden ring folder into yabber's folder. Either the one from sekiro or elden ring works, it just says sekiro
also may need to copy it into UXM's folder?
where would i find that?
the oo2core is in the Elden ring game folder
do i put it in my lib folder?
Yes I think that's what it says
it gave me an xml
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
-<dcx>
<compression>SekiroKRAK</compression>
</dcx>
Use Yabber not Yabber DCX, it should spit out a folder
now what file is the texture that i edit with photoshop or paint.net
thats what i got in here
The textures are inside the tpf, so unpack that one as well with yabber. They are dds files and I'd recommend using paint net
after you have editted them you drag the folder back on to yabber to repack it, then do the same with the partsbnd folder
which folder the one for the tpf and then the base dcx?
Yeah you first repack the tpf folder, then the partsbnd folder.
Also to make your modded files show up you'll need to either put it in the modengine "mod" folder or patch the exe with UXM to load the loose files
Yes if you're editting the texture it would ofc replace it, but when you repack with yabber there will be a backup made of your original file with the extension .bak so don't worry about losing the vanilla files
I just realized Rainer actually made a video tutorial for this lmao, should have just linked that: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFTJjDvoJypGebXGXCBUujFVYk2Gf8r16
They use photoshop but paint net works too
oh lmao
