I'm trying to make a new ash of war for the Omenkiller Greataxe.
I duplicated the TAE for the Eruption ash of war (tae id : 656) and moved it at the id 626 which should be a free slot.
I also duplicated the behavior and all, duplicated the SwordArtsParam entry, etc.
As shown in the first screenshot, it shows up ingame but when I use the ash of war nothing happens. I figured from what I've read that it could be a problem with the behavior file, but I'd like more precise explanation if possible.

I selected the 4 (if i remember correctly) a656 hkx (there was two autosets for each idk if it matters) and duplicated them to a626

i've duped movesets before but never ashes of war, i tried once and had the same issue like 2 months ago
I'm guessing 26 is used in hks as an unused stance skill
so it starts with 040050 instead of 040000
try moving the tae to somewhere in the 700s
you have free spots in the 750s range

easier that was cuz you can collapse the taes
cool make sure to pick 158 for the sword arts type in dsms

the only thing that happens is ive duped double slash, it does nothing when i press the button but if i change the sword art param back to original double slash it plays the animation automatically like it was queued up or something

yeah double slash has a lot of ids, it goes from 040000 to 040320

Those are for wield stances
spears use a003 for example
And they get the 040300 anims
greatswords ultra greatswords use a002
So they use the 040200 anims
i think for double slash its mainly the full combo (first 2 slashes, then 3, then the final one) and then the no fp variant, thats just what i think from looking in DSAnimStudio tho

it's still weird cuz the original aow can be put on the axe no problem

They use these multiple IDs systems when they have one skill apply for multiple weapons but they want them all to use different animations

just tp into his arena manually and you can use him as a training dummy

i was trying 626 and 630 at first and it didnt work, i tried 720 before and it still wasnt working
try 745

make sure you name the IDs properly
the taes you added named properly in both tae folder and xml file
link the anims properly in dsms
there must be something missing or the game is just refusing to work
im pretty sure i did all the file stuff properly, changed the behaviours in ERClipGenerator, copied the TAEs in c000.anibnd and changed the xml, copied the stuff in the a9x and changed the a9x xml and i checked the anims in DSAnim studio and then set the numbers up in map studio, i dont think i missed any steps right?
i was pretty much just copying Syyyke moveset tutorial but with an ash of war, so i just changed the a9x file instead of a6x or whichever one it would be, which i thought would be right but idk i could be missing something important
yeah im convinced it works differently for everyone at this point
check if you have everything updated or something
the only stuff i dont have updated is whatever changed with 1.10, im not sure if theres a 1.09.1 vanilla regulation to update my params with and i havent updated my animation files just bc ive added lots of small copy paste stuff to the spells and dont know how changed the file got, but if it comes to it ill try updating it and just seeing if i can get it working
