yeah the whip parts file just has whip animations in it that correspond with the player animations. as long as they have the same name they'll play alongside
to clarify, the individual whips in the parts folder each have their own seperate animations file? or are we talking about another parts file somewhere?
the former. if you unpack any particular whip's partsbnd, it'll have an anibnd inside it
okay, thank you to both of you. one more question, when i try to load that anibnd into DSAnim Studio it doesn't seem to load anything, and the individual hkx files i get when i yabber it are also not compatible. is there any way to view these anims?
ah damn, that I'm not sure about for ER
i guess i can just line the reference the hkx file numbers back to the player TAEs to see what is what. I understand now why their are very few whip moveset mods out there haha

Im pretty new to doing anything beyond param editing, I wanted to try and make some Castlevania inspired stuff, a figured this would be the biggest hurdle to navigate anyway 🤷
