Description: New player of Vindictus! it seems like as i run the game on steam it silent crashes on start-up screens. the farthest screen I got before it crashed was the "Choose Your Avatar" menu. Is there anything I can do to prevent this? My original thought was that my laptop isn't compatable, but im unsure what it is.

Try switch DirectX11 to DirectX9, then should be smooth without crash?

When access to menu, click Options, then Graphic? Change DirectX 9
hurry before game does random crash game, I guess, after change
and click ok, then close game, open game, should run normally

Crash on start up sounds more like driver errors. I'd update video card driver and use a game optimization tool from same manufacturer. The DX9/11 issue was a reduced frame rate for me. My older video card didn't support DX11. So yes upon login you use options/video/advanced change the drop down selection from default dx11 to 9. Restart not required from title screen.
