its not a bug, that's how it works

black dye makes it less visable and bright

#

unless "again" its a karok specific thing and other classes actually can dye it black think

If I had uploaded comparison images beforehand, you probably wouldn’t have been confused.

Once you compare them, it should be much clearer.
