That is strange... can you try to isolate the problem on an entity we could try ourselves?

ive spent time trying to isolate it im unsure why
its appears random
weird... I only see the low resolution in my case

I checked the texture of the shield, we can count that the pixel count does not match with the high resolution video. I guess its you export that is responsible?

is the 256 in the pack is displaying as 128x
the one in the first video is 512x and displaying properly though
i just updated the texture to 512x and its still downscaled to 128x

im working with @green mantle, the new entity added "phobos" displays correctly
with 512x it still displays as 128x on our server

i belive it may be due to animations
the animation for phobos is empty, wich results in a parse error. Is it intended?

i just added phobos with 7 animations to the server and it works fine
could you send us your behaviour pack?
I did not use any behaviour pack, i modified the entity files to apply them to the armadillo and the wolf.

ive also tried removing all animations from mars and it didnt help
as we can see here, phobos does not use the full potential of the 512 file size, but mars does almost fill it

Does any of you had the problem on singleplayer world? If not, maybe there are optimizations or resource constraint on the server that cause the problem?
I tried tweaking my graphics setting, but no changes in texture can be seen.
even resizing it to 256x256 then expanding it back to 512 while filling with transparent didnt fix it
the random downscale makes me remember Roblox. Sometimes our character gets low resolution at random times as I believe to be an optimization when there are many complex models or textures. since mars is more complex maybe the server tries to optimize it when there are other complex things nearby?
is it a self hosted minecraft server?
what is the hoster? I wonder if they have a documentation about similar problems. Maybe other server admins got the same problem?
