It'd be super useful, as of right now I'm using scripts to try counter the velocity, but it's not perfect in any regards

Maybe you can do something with minecart runtime. Or use horse jump button for acceleration instead of wasd

Ayo that's true! I didn't consider that. I could add more functionality via the jump button
