Just "finished" the artwork for one of the last entities from the pack I'm currently building ๐Ÿ™‚

It's large, got 4 legs, walks in a really complex way, and does this thing where it crouches down and shoots swarms of glowing blue projectiles, which is pretty cool, but I don't have a screen recorder to show it in the game ๐Ÿ˜…

Up-close, it performs AOE "stomp" attacks with its front legs, and can perform a "roar" that causes slow movement...

There are two other entities in the pack who can load certain blocks onto its back and take them off (when it's not aggressive!)

The animation was quite fun to do -- but the weird kind of fun, that leaves you pulling quite a lot of your hair out.

Inverse kinematics

basically a mathematical animation method that allows for a "leg" or sequence of bones to follow some target point based on constraints

it is actually possible within blockbench

but will be exported into a normal animation file with each angle rather than an ik system

I'll post the Strider tomorrow - that thing has full on bird legs, I did have to get a mathematician friend to consult on it ๐Ÿ˜
