#How to trigger an animation controller?

Basically I'm doing something where I can't use experiments at all. And I use the run_command event to start my add-on, however since I can't use that because of the limitation someone suggested to use the animation controller, the docs didn't help me at all so I'm wondering how I trigger an animation controller with a component or something? Thanks

You could use the scripts/animate inside the entity
