The most important thing to me is that they fix the face mapping bug on full_block. 😦 That bug means I can't use that geometry. I always have to use a custom one or go back to blocks.json.
Theres 2 bugs eith full_block that annoy me, the uv mapping and you cant interact with it unless you shift....unless thats a selection/collission box issue
There's also the fact that a rotation bug or 2 still exists.

Ah, I was just about to say: the real problem is that we can't reference auto-generated extruded item or block models or rendered block model icons from anywhere.
It's especially strange, as you can typically reference built atlases from a bunch of places.
Particle and entity textures can both reference atlas.items, for example.

In this server you will be pressed by some individuals for using the wrong nomenclature yes. But the greater minecraft community simply does not care.
I think it's just a balance of being respectful and acknowledging the nomenclature based on the environment you are in and the people you interact with. That being said, for the same people who do press against others for using the wrong nomenclature, ease up a little, no need to be too harsh. Remember what environment you're in and the people you interact with. Rules still apply

I don't think anyone called it a big problem, or a problem in general. It's just incorrect - and it should be completely fine to correct someone and inform them of the differences.
It does actually cause a bit if harm, as it moves attention away from actual shaders, or lack there of. If everyone is happy with deferred, or even worse, think that it enables some kind of shader support, then less people will actually request proper support from Mojang, and they will have less incentive to add it. Ik most people couldn't care less about custom shaders, but I do, and it really hurts when a feature that you care about so much gets drowned in all that media attention towards "official bedrock shaders" aka deferred.

Imo add-ons are a type of game mods, but in the context of Minecraft, mods and add-ons are quite distinct and separate. "Mods" implies native nodding, while "add-ons" is modding via official APIs
they will try to make add-ons be able to create any experience imaginable
Because Java Mods can completely re-write the code, it's unrealistic to expect Bedrock Add-Ons to ever be able to do "everything". But, definitely the intent is to close the gap significantly.

It'd just take an identifier and possibly a spawn event. That's it. The tile entity would not be selectable, damageable, killable, or spawnable. Its lifetime would be automatically managed by the lifetime of the block.
So you need to create a whole separate entity that holds the properties and what not then

You can do a lot of cool things when you utilize the API we have.
It still needs some things but if you know what to do and stuff you can do pretty cool things.

That is something that we may never see because who would use it? One or two people.
I'm not sure that Mojang caught how important mimicking vanilla systems was to the community. That's all that tons of hobbyists want to do is have stuff that exactly matches vanilla.

Come to think of it, I never saw a large portion of the Bedrock playerbase complain about Minecraft updates. It's has always been the Java playerbase that complains

going for PS5 native pretty much increases the hardware compatibilities e.g probably ray tracing maybe
comparing bedrocks addon stuff and javas community maintained mod loaders feels unfair

The combat system is really cool. I Personally like the mob cap and entity spawns. Being able to get zombie reinforcements to bedrock would be nice. Though it may cause issues with performance and lag

Could match up textures better and make them more seamless. So glass could be nicer or you could blend say grass and stone when next to each other maybe 🤔

An onBlockUpdate component could just detect when the neighboring blocks are changed and see if the block could connect to it

Interesting. Connections as block traits. I can only hope such a system, when developed, would be robust enough to connect to other types of blocks, too, not just itself. Vanilla stairs come to mind as a problem. Their corner connections are client only, I think. If y'all can solve that, you'll be my heroes.
