What if you have add-ons with several hundred blocks that all use scripting registrations for very general-purpose actions? Wasn't that the promise of JSON events and triggers in the first place? I think what's concerning people is the idea that an actual Marketplace team affiliated with Mojang could get away with stealing your assets (and make money off them, even if you don't) if no one does anything about it. I remember a while back, Grimm was notified some team was using his drake code from Spry Conquest for their dragon map. Files weren't even renamed.

Yup. Previously, if you wanted to make some kind of redstone type of block, you could use molang to query nearby blocks. But now you'll have to check blocks with scripts every tick, or implement some kind of event system based on state changes, but in this case there is a lot of opportunities for bugs

You can’t get the loaded chunks but you check if chunks are loaded by trying to access stuff or spawning things in them, like a particle.
