Well 16GB is the standard amount for most gaming but I think a minimum of 4GB.

That all depends on your on your render distance of course. (and other factors) When I have mine set to 37 it takes around 2GB of Ram

I would go for 8GB if you can. That would be the best.

What are your thoughts on creating a scripting file to replace block events? Given the potential removal of block events, scripting appears to be our next viable option. It would be beneficial if Mojang offered a file like the one below in vanilla packs:

I don't exactly know what you're envisioning but if I were to guess you'd like to at least define the events through a JSON file so that you could subscribe to them in the scripting API? Or are you just asking for JSON block event definitions to be moved to a separate file instead of being completely removed?
