yeah I also had to do this, the whitelist add (username) doesn't seem to get the right uuid unless the player is already logged in? Maybe manually specifying the correct UUID by grabbing it from the console would work too but I haven't tried that.
PlayerChatEvent is asynchronous, so you have to use "registerAsync" to handle chat messages
the other events are synchronous, you can use "register" to fetch them.

Mm Ill have a look at that, still kind of ridicilous. 4GB recommended for 2 players. it uses the full 8 now and if I say "take what you want" it eats 16Gib during chunk load. Minecraft Chunk Loading is bad but even that with 200 Mods where some adjust chunks with 12 players I was running fine on 3 cores and 10Gib 😂

With regards to the handshake error: if you are on OVH, it is the GAME firewall that is blocking it. I just added 5520 to the permitted port range (via Network -> Public IP Addresses) and the handshake error went away and now I am just not whitelisted.

I just experimented a little bit with whitelist.json, you just have to add the uuid of the player as a string in the list (check json format).
if you edit the file while server is running, it will be overwritten, so make sure to stop the server before editing the whitelist

Yes you can read the SNI. I just managed to do that with custom "ClientHello" parser. I've implemented it in Go for now it's working at my servers pretty ok but ofc it's written with the help of ai.
I also read yesterday that there is a Nginx fork which can do the same but didn't found the message, and not sure if it actually works with that. Maybe search in this discord for "SNI" you'll find some things.

Im currently trying to make a working docker container of the hytale server, but a question cam to my mind, the 100 servers limit is lifetime of my account or concurrently? can i deauth servers?
because in testing i'm authing a lot of times since the auth process and persistence of the auth is being a little tricky on the container and probably i already burned a chunk of that limit

is there anywhere to get the arm64 version of the server installer? the one at https://support.hytale.com/hc/en-us/categories/41690583024923-Player-Support only includes an installer for amd64 and attempts to run it on an arm cpu has been unsuccessful

im trying to figure this out too, it looks like your only options are in memory or encryption. It seems encryption mode will make it so you dont have to reauth every time the server starts, but it doesnt work with Docker afaik
