I don't know how many suggestions are allowed, but I also thought of a feature, that makes it possible to select a specific unit and control that unit, so you can instead of play with the units, you can play as the unit(s).
I've wanted that for a really long time!
Yes, I thought, that this was a good feature. And the characteristcs of a unit may change the way how to play that unit. Also sometimes Humans are clumsy running around, you could expand that feature to the ability to when you control the king of an Empire, you could give special commands to all your citizens, manage more things or for example do what you suggested with the military formations, like you control the commander
background music. When I play WorldBox and nothing happens, I question my existence. The background should probably be at most from the middle ages, and something just quiet enough so there isn't absolute silence, but not the only thing I can hear

kingdoms could be separated into districts, and rebellions can occur in the districts if the kingdom just sucks. The reason I believe this is a good idea is so different districts can be taken over instead of the whole entire kingdom. Even if it’s not districts, kingdoms can fight over land and other reasons instead of fighting because of the leader or some shit.

lol i was thinking and if they added furries, like it would be a trait furry . When the person grows up, and startes wearing their fur suit, they would be exiled (and make a kingdom that is furrys only), but if a furry somehow manages to become a leader of a village, that village will be kicked out of the kingdom. But if a furry becomes a king, everyone in that kingdom becomes a furry, and gives a -50 trait to other kingdoms.

I like to have lots of animals in my worlds but for some reason they always die off even though there's plenty of food and other animals around them. They don't get eaten either, but recently while I was watching them I noticed that they weren't eating! They all starve to death because they WILL NOT eat. Idk if this is a glitch or if there is a limit or something but my animals always die off because of this and makes it hard to create ecosystems. Also because of this 100s of animals have died within a couple years on my world. To combat this I feel like animals should prioritize eating and reproducing as much as possible before death.
This entire herd of sheep was wiped out because of this...

Once boats are added there should be trade routes, trade routes can be across water and land the merchants will go to a specific building to drop of their goods and go back to their village. To see trade routes you can press a button to see all of them, you can click on a route, giving more details about it. Where it leads and where it’s coming from , how many boats are using it yearly,and how much money it makes.

A culture system where cities each have their own culture determined by their first settlers, if from an already founded city they will inherit its culture or if spawned in it will be a randomly generated one. A kingdoms culture would be determined by the capitals culture, and all cities with the same culture would get a loyalty boost, and the cities of other cultures would get a disloyalty penalty.

Add taxes into the capital/ kingdoms relationships. The capital receives a percentage every in-game year of each of it's cities resources. The higher the loyalty the lower the tax. The lower the loyalty the higher the tax. Cities gained through war are taxed highly especially if it was the opposition's capital.
Add something that can stop some cities from evolving, citizens will not be able to expand their borders, and won’t upgrade/build structures...
And with that, something that enable the city to evolve again

I think Kingdoms name should be improvement with the new style based on the name of kingdom, area and number of units. So the name kingdoms will following First name of Kings, and successor.
1/ Dynasty: When lineage of the king through to 2, 3 kings (Their son, grandchildren, heir) still keeping 'First name' of Kingdoms.
2/ Empire: Based on capture more 4, 5 kingdoms near area.
3/ Kingdoms: When the village gain more than ~150 units for 1 area and there are 3 area around.
4/ Village: The first time units build the new area position, and less than 50 units

New types of crops
(Another has commented stating the addition of cemeteries, however I wanted to add to this idea. Not only would the cemetery look great in game, however the uses could be vast. Perhaps have within a tomb of the Kings. If you tap on this building you can see all the names of the cities prior Kings and will offer a brief description of each. When a King dies the cities people flock to the cemetery to mourn the loss. If the King was from the capital, then the citizens of cities with higher loyalty will make thier pilgrimage to the cemetery as well. Those within cities of lower loyalty are less likely to make the pilgrimage. Tomb of the Kings is deemed a Holy Site. During war the opposing Kingdom/Kingdoms of the same race will not destroy this site; but add to it and continue the tradition if seized through war. If the opposition is of a different race then they will target the site to destroy it.
With the addition of the cemetery comes a few new mobs and civilian roles.

- Undertaker
Mobs:
- Necromancer: this mob has the ability to summon the undead, which will spawn zombies/skeletons within the cemetery. When a necromancer is killed in combat the necromancer has a chance to respawn as a Lich/Lich King.
- Skeletons: Have the same traits and characteristics as zombies, however have the ability to spawn using weaponry in combat. Can be commanded by a Necromancer/Lich.

What if there were more resources? Like instead of just wheat theres cabbage, lettus plants, fruit trees that correspond with different races. For Orcs: They need meat. That means chickens, sheeps, even bears if they don’t have animals around them to hunt then they will starve and instead of growing wheat they’ll have gated in animals. Dwarves only eat berries and tree fruits without them they starve and instead of wheat plants they grow orchards, Elves only eat lettuce, cabbage and fish without it they starve and humans will eat anything! This could also help the war function! Wars are started when starving kingdoms steal food from another kingdoms village.
@steep jetty orcs already eat and hunt all kinds of creatures and i think other civs too, fish and other resources like crops are on the trello too and i think the new update is stage one of new animal and crop sources updates

Basically give ability to make archers, warriors etc and add new types of units and this would go along with controllable units as somebody said it’s on the trellis board. Elves should have magic. Demons can conjure fire (if they get there own faction like in my previous suggestion. Orcs should use slower attacking but higher damaging clubs and humans should use a mix of light armor and melee and ranged attacks with a rare change of a invincible Beserker unit that is only invincible during a war for all types of species.

can there be a screen where we can see how the whole empire feels about there country, a way to see when and if a city about to rebellion (capital cities don’t count [obviously]). And a power (like inspiration) that makes a town more loyal. Rebellions should be more concise, like a town in the very edge of the empire won’t want to leave cuz one in the middle said they do. Rebellions don’t have much of a chance as of now cuz a empire gets so huge that they just get crushed. Rebellions (at least in my opinion) should happen more on the edge of an empire than in the very center. One more thing, there should be riots instead of just straight up rebellion. Thanks

Commanders
Commanders would be a new warrior profession. Commanders will form a squad made up of various combat professions (i.e warrior, archer, mages, etc...) The squad will remain within a certain radius of the commander and follow wherever the commander goes. For every 25 population points a territory has, there will be 1 commander, and each commander can have a maximum of 10 troops per squad.
Hero
Heroes are a powerful combat unit. Heroes have higher stats all around compared to all civilized creatures of the same race, and have high priority for items. If there is no ongoing war, heroes will form a squad of random combat professions, and venture out of their territory in search of monster-type units. If there is a monster spawning type tower, such as the Flame tower, heroes will charge towards them with the goal of destroying them. There is only one hero maximum per territory. For example, a Kingdom with 3 territories, will only have 3 heroes maximum. A Hero can have a maximum of 20 soldiers in their squad.

A followup to my previous suggestion
Military traits are traits unique to Commanders, Leaders, Heroes, and Kings. Any unit with a military trait, will provide a buff to certain stats to combat professions under their command. Commanders and Heroes will provide buffs only to units within their squad. Leaders will provide buffs to all combat professions that belong to their state. Kings will provide a buff to all combat professions in their Kingdom. Here are some examples of Military traits.
Exemplary Leader - A slight buff to all combat professions.
Close Expertise - A buff to all warriors.
Ranged Expertise - A buff to all archers.
Magic Expertise - A buff to all mages.
Aggressive Tactics - A buff to attack/speed/accuracy to all combat professions
Defensive Tactics - A buff to armor/evasion to all combat professions
Using the example traits listed above, some armies may become much stronger. A king with exemplary leader would boost all stats of all combat professions, while a leader with ranged expertise would further boost the stats of archers within their own territory, and a commander with aggressive tactics would increase the offensive prowess of those within their squad.
the paladin is a being born with this profession and can be of any race, so they have a bonus against demons and are a type of tank that absorbs the damage of attackers so as not to hurt their allies, thus being a good demon hunter -demonic towers and possibly overcoming the barrier of a mortal to an immortal being {does not die of old age} after passing level 10 (.)
