Yes. You’re fighting a natural motion by having to twist your wrist into position to insert magazine

Try this. Turn mags to face firing shoulder. When you pull a mag, palm the top with you pointer finger wrapped down the front spine of the mag. That puts your hand naturally pulling and pushing mag toward mag well without unnaturally twisting. Use your pointer finger along front spine to guide into mag well

Ya it stops that unnatural wrist twist. Just letting your hand naturally fall on top of mag will speed up things significantly with practice because your mind isn’t working to over come what your body naturally does.

So they have been stealing some of the extra Waters that I bring

Like I have the 300 super tool so I have three different size flatheads and it's always either the medium one or the large one

Because I use it for prying at times

It's not even like crazy strength I'm using

Cuz if I'm using a hole saw

I need to get the chunk of wood out of the saw portion of it

And you need a flathead screwdriver of some kind to pry it out, which usually doesn't put much stress on it, but it's enough to break it

The last time it broke was funny because I was actually using it to take a flathead out of a board

And using it properly. But somehow it snap the tip

I do have a Gerber but I don't like the Gerber

Instead, it remains my range bag as a tool with all different bits to work on different parts

So I decided to get the Midwest industries because it was close enough to my pt5

And I went with the barwarus copy

Because it was practically impossible to get a b30 at that time with a matching top rail

So far both are solid

It's going to be able to handle more of an abuse, especially if you go with the quad rail style because there's a lot more material to allow it to be more rigid

You're getting more solid mounting for flashlights lazers

It's not going to be like key mod where hypothetically let's say you're running around and you take a nasty spill or something and you drive the flashlight into something

You don't risk deforming the rail

They still require that front handguard retention piece on it

To keep everything in place

And generally if we're speaking about actual AK use

The more rigid design is actually more beneficial on the receiver

Because it's generally going to be hand fit or pressure fit into the trunnion taking out a lot of that reverberation

Like generally speaking, quad rails are going to be a lot more durable and handle a beating more than a mlok or keymod

Back when I played I have seen quite a few handguards with dents in them because somebody fell on a rock

Or drove the gun into something

The only thing that you might have to do with those cheaper quad rails is file some of the burrs down if you do take a nasty spill

So far I've only had one range trip that wasn't super crazy. I've been messing around with it trying to get to snap. It's on there pretty good

I'm giving one of them out to a customer because my buddy who bought the last set of caps I made

Since his melted I'm upgrading him to carbon fiber nylon pretty much for free and giving him that because that is the first time I have ever had anybody have there's melt

I have one that was made out of an older crappier material that goes on a red dot and that has survived a longer than I expected

But if you're printing pla you don't really need a lot of that

Like I got by with most of my printing on a ender 3 which is a very open design

But I've now transitioned into a fully enclosed printer and I don't even know if I will ever go back to the enders

The elegoo centauri carbon

It's a very fast printer. The quality I've been getting out of it is very decent

And the ender 3 is one of the go-to budget starter printers that a lot of people buy

The centauri carbon is like 300 bucks

It's on high demand so it might take a little bit to ship, but it's a pretty solid printer for the price and you get a lot of features

It's a good system but combined with the Alice rig itself it's a lot of friction on the shoulders

through field extensive use it starts to suck

The waist is perfect and so is the back support it's just the friction over 8-10 hours that gets uncomfortable and causes redness to the skin layering ontop of the Alice rig (at least LC-2)

There really is no comfortable ruck that can be worn for an extensive period of time over any type of web gear. Conditioning rucks with just the Alice ruck alone is where it shined. It could be carried so high and tight it was the best for long training humps. We regularly humped average 12-25 milers with them.

Not my experience. The kits drastically changed after we stopped being embedded and advising. The Iraqi SF team I worked with was being advised by one of our SF teams and were kitted nearly identical to a GWOT SF shooter. Only difference was they were running kitted out AK platforms instead of M4s. My guess is they started going crazy when they no longer had US kits to mimic

As a long-term hiking rig or anything like that, it does not make sense

I like it because it's adaptable for plate carrier use and for universal use

For light walking in and out of the range

Essentially get most of the weight off of my back and evenly distribute it on my body

But this rig will attach to pretty much any plate carrier

It's got adapters to fit on any pc as long as it's got Molly on the cumberbuns

It adds so much weight and wear to your truck. Makes it almost impossible to offroad

Definitely not for me though, this truck is my daily driver. I do want to buy some accessories for it so it’s more “camping” oriented. I think a bed cap would be the best for me. My only issue is if I’m sleeping in the bed, I need the tailgate to be down for extra leg room because I’m tall.
