This is by design until a pick and choose menu can be added, as it used to actually take one with items in it.

Go into hideout, go into first person by pressing "enter", then tab to open inventory. Put the scav boxes you want to save in your sorting table, press tab, then walk over to scav case and manually build it. If that doesn't work please empty each one, one by one, as it's trying to take one with items in it. It should be trying to pick the first one you bought/crafted.

Just had a scav shoot me through a 2m wide dumpster so hard my game crashed

I had one of those moments, where I thought to myself, "I just need 280 xp, I will go to Customs, kill a Scav, maybe get some loot, and GG." And things would had gone well. Except, they did not. Ran into a poor low level PMC, shot him, then, I had to fight my way through around ten Scavs around the Scav Checkpoint, then, with my ammo depleted, and scavenging some guns from the Scavs, I try to reach RUAF where, along the way I get first attacked by a small group near the busses, then another group from the opposite side, and, as much as I would had loved to take my chances killing even more Scavs, while I lose track of my ammo count... decided to bounce. 14 Scav kills, 1 PMC. 6.7k xp. Not the highest achievement among people in Tarkov, but for me? I was sweating.

I had something similar. Meant to go shoreline for quests but accidentally went woods. I had a weekly from Jaeger for 25 scav headshots. Went to scav house and kept having them spawn in on me. 2 pmcs showed up. More scavs. Ran into some in woods making my way to extract. Went through 3.5 sets of armor as I kept finding tier 4s and repaired my arm 4 times. Extracted with 2 minutes left. 2 PMC kills, 16 scav kills with 15 being headshots. 10.5k exp

learn interchange. the map is drenched in loot. use mapgenie to see where all red bags (GPUs, bitcoin, etc in them), hit all GPU spawns (and other tech loot), jackets (you'd be surprised how easy it is to pull a 150K+ key), weapon crates also got an insane buff for better guns and attachments. at the end, hit the stashes on your way out

you will make 200K-1M each raid (stay on one half of the map at any given time, no sense crossing to the other side, you'll come across far more people this way which won't be very helpful starting out

Assuming you take out the roof guards first (as you should). . . for the ground rogues, you kill one. And they do the same thing raiders do. They run straight for you. You kill them while they run at you and if one stops you have ~1.5 second to shoot them before they can do anything. It's a wind up (same thing raiders have). During that wind up they can't shoot you. But if you don't kill them and let them wind up. . . . they are perma aggro and will instantly shoot for your head
