if the enemy pushes you too fast and you miss the opportunity, you're dead 100%
if the enemy is uphill, there's no way to hit them
if you use iron sights, you lose ability to engage over 25m. If you use the HAMR/Bravo+dot combo, it's hard to hit at close range around 15m

VSS or AS VAL. It’s got high rate of fire and excellent penetration so it can feel like you’re getting insta-killed if they burst your thorax. But yeah, trying to avoid PMCs may seem like answer but in reality, losing to them and trying to learn from it is what will make you better in the long run.

Maybe start with “stacked” fights that lean in your favor. Try to 3rd party an engagement or set up in a favorable location for ambush.

I feel like most players start out that way, you’re in good company. What helped me early on was watching videos of experienced players like Pestily and seeing how they move about the map and handle engagements. I leaned that I was actually probably being too slow for my own good and people were outmaneuvering me. Keep in mind some basic tenants, like trying never to be in the same place if an enemy breaks line of sight with you.

and you can basically freely engage even running around on a street to reposition wouldn't be an issue anymore, as your goal would be to outplay scavs and don't have to fear some normal players anymore sneaking around and going for you as they hear shots

which is already the hardcore factor ... not just the difficulty in terms of pvp, or so, but the hardcore factor is the discipline you have to have on yourself, to delay in a major aspect to increase your chance at a later point to succeed what you were missing out

i feel like thats what alot of players underestimate ... since alot of games these days are easy to get in ... like all major games are like "play for 30min and know everything there is to know" ... so alot of them starting with tarkov will lack the discipline in learning something for a couple days before success comes around more often 🙂

well you can still win fights if you camp a spot for a long time ... which is the bone for being patient even though it might not be the kind of rewarding win, you were hoping for ... but it would be a win nonetheless and might get you at least the "good" loot you wanna see once in a while

no idea ... i do sit in bushes like sometimes up to 25min or more ... but rather to let the time pass 😄 but in that time i usually watch a movie or youtube, there could be hundrets people passing, or ppl dropping a bagpack like 10m away and it would be there for another 10min so another scav suddenly finds it, i would not see or hear it 😄

i tried to camp an exit but not really the exit itself, more the way to it ... like the open wall near factory far corner ... or so, to keep an eye to a wider range, but i usually cannot focus for that long as there is no goal for me like mission task in really preventing someone from exiting, as i usually don't care if ppl exit 😄

i myself started with alpha and it's part of playing the game, to upgrade the stashes, currently on lvl3, cannot upgrade to lvl4 yet, as i don't have the dealers level yet but lvl3 is kinda easy to get even though ppl seem to have issues in aquiring the amount of money, whilst with the playstyle i pursue most of the evenings, i have no issues with that

see this game as a combination of RTS and FPS ... whilst you are the shooter and worker at the same time ... before you can go and shoot and attack a base in RTS's you usually have to build your own base and invest time and getting materials and such 🙂

so see it as a point, where as a guy who pays only the basic amount for the game, you are probably more creative in your ways you play and you improvise probably more as well, then the guy who paid 150 or so for the max edition, that will never see those obstacles

ofc there is no problem if someone has the money for it and spends it ... but the game gives you the free choice 🙂 like the game in itself will give you alot of choices how to play the game after chosing the edition you wanna buy 😄
