I just had a great raid. I went into customs with a vepr km without even meaning to extract, just kill 5 scavs for the quest (I dont even know the extract points yet) ended up running into a level 51 player and killed him with hip fire. there is no real downside beside having to get used to the difference between them on/off
So most people just pick 1 kind and stick to it

Its even more likely if you used fmj rounds
A high lvl helmet can also absorb 800+ dmg if you shoot it with 9x19 for example

Had his back to me, I dumped the mag, and he turned and shot me... iv never hit someone that many times point blank and not had a kill, even with a damn pistol lol he had a cowboy hat on... so Im pretty sure was a scav as well.

Thermal's aren't "OP" at all, you can't use any form of optics when them, they have an unrealistic range limit, and they're very expensive to run with limited sight pictures/bad refresh rates.

people focus on thermals simply in the context of gunplay but forget that in a game like tarkov, information is about 75% of what you need to survive/win
and thermals are far and away the most insane conduit of information. a 3 second 180-degree sweep shows you ANYTHING that could be a threat in front of you
also when you're being shot at and don't know from where, a thermal shows you where from. a normal scope wont, even in the day

It’s just 3 of us. We’ve played about 400 hours together as a squad. It’s just kinda been the rule, if you rage quit out for the night. Your gear is just gonna fund one of our next runs. We all basically run the same gear and we all pass cash around fairly often. I’ve given them each their red rebels and i have a full keycard set that we run on labs and they pretty much can have whatever they want. Finders keepers. It’s less so about punishment, more so that money isn’t an issue and we’re all kinda in the same boat.
And all the inventory space goes to getting the squad’s gear out so the only way we all lose our shit is if we get squad wiped which happens rarely except against cheaters and talented squads.

well over time they've increased measures in general. Can't bring more than 200k into raid, can't drop secure containers, etc. I assume they have some sort of system that at leasts logs what people bring out of raids
and accounts that have a habit of dropping a lot and dying right away, docs cases of keycards or bitcoins for example, can get flagged

Well they have a massive botting problem(which has been greatly reduced), where people would make accounts, skill/gather, sell then get banned. But the thing is, it's really easy to tell if someone has been doing the same thing for 60+ hours since account creation, and giving all their cash to 1 person. Same thing with tarkov, if your account only really uses the flea market and goes into raid, drops items then dies, then you're account is much more likely to be flagged

Hatchet runs will still be a thing, I wiped 910 mil off my account and started over last night for practice, one reserve run and I got 900k rubles just selling to vendor, a ton of items sell for high value if you know what to look for

@versed linden Flea market is supposed to be found in raid only and they're adding a measure relating to run throughs not counting so you will have to not only go in but get 300 exp(which is the minimum as of now) and make it out. So will hatchling runs exist, yes. Will it be harder than it is now, also yes.

Not really, I made 900k in 9 min run and I only sold items to vendor, no need for flea
That's high, but on average is say between 200-400k per 8 min pistol run, it's high value loot also which helps break the xp limit for run through, then if you kill a scav or pmc and search body it removes run through

Hatchling is a little different than pistol runs
If they wanted to do that they could make it so you don't get loot if you get marked and cursed
