Tarkov noob here. I just tried the Scav-only Factory Underground Bunker extract and it didn't work. Can you only extract at locations that appear below your raid timer?

@honest yarrow you might want to read up on the wiki, not every extract on every map is always available. Some are dependent on being a pmc/scav and some require external things and some extracts are first come/single use

the only extracts that are available to use are the ones under the timer. Then from those, some of those might not be available due to some time restriction, ruble cost, or one time use and someone already used it before you

if you tried to extract at Railway and it didnt work, then it probably wasnt your extract and it was actually the Emercom checkpoint instead

@honest yarrow ... intuitive is the wrong word here. You are forced to cross the map, otherwise it would be to easy to just loot and escape. Tarkov is a hardcore game, you have to adapt to that. Frustration is part of the game, for a very long time.

and by the way @honest yarrow press 2x O to see your exits.

I would suggest you to watch some newbie videos @honest yarrow where things like this are explained. I assume you are at the start of the game, so just take one golden rule of tarkov from me: ammo is the most important thing on your gun. Wrong ammo, you won't do any dmg against a medium geared player.

Also, don't be afraid to spend some time doing Offline mode to get a feel for everything. I tend to play it quite a bit, kick up the Scav count and turn on Scav War to get myself used to dealing with Gunshots in the distance and nearby me.

Offline Mode is okay, but i would suggest you to play your scavs. Always. It makes you money, you learn the maps, you are playing online. Zero RIsk.

I was doing offline raids inbetween scav runs and then i switched over to just doing cheap pmc loadouts. like just grab a mp153, toss a sight on it and buy the .50 BMG slugs (they're 1/3rd the price of the best slugs, AP-20)

And that's perfectly fine. Get to know the maps, and get to know some weapons and how they handle. Understand how Scavs can work from experience rather than just videos. And yes, play your Scavs as often as you can since it is little to no risk besides wasted time. If you wanna do something more along the lines of budget running though, I suggest Mosins.

Your teammate blew your cover or the other guy was well-aware of the spawns on Shoreline. You can get pushed easily within 30-60 seconds on the Road to Customs Exit side on Shoreline after deploying.

Spawns are grouped tightly atm, it's somewhat similar on the Village side of Shoreline. You can sometimes easily outmanuever people and prevent them from reaching the Resort, which also kind of can be a good thing

@cerulean valve word of advice: if you want a good rifle that doesn't have significant recoil, pick a VSS. -100k to get a foregrip, laser, the rifle and collimator, sp-5 ammo will still pen up to level 5 too

ideally you want SP-6 but if you're on a budget SP-5 is the way to go

idk VSS is really good but it's a really expensive setup because of the ammo and mags are limited. If you want a full auto weapon get a 5.45 AK like the AKS-74U they're cheap and the ammo for them is everywhere. like you can find boxes of BT, BP and BS ammo all over reserve

This is fucking ridiculous. I have been disconnected from every server i have joined. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, Checked for updates, Changed server location multiple times, tried joining different maps, checked my internet connection (100mb download speed, 10mb upload speed) and Checked my ping (always below 60). I have spent £130 fucking pounds on this game, and i expect to be able to ACTUALLY PLAY IT. I get that its a "Beta", but its been in development for almost 4 years. There is nothing wrong on my end. My PC is absolutely enough to play the game.

Its actually mind boggling. I cant believe a game like this can have this many server issues. Coupled with server updates, server problems, servers going under maintenance, and now also being disconnected without warning, this is literally unacceptable for a game that costs £40 for a standard edition, when its not even finished, and £130 for the "Season Pass" edition. PLEASE. FIX. YOUR. FUCKING. GAME. sometimes its outright unplayable, which is again, mind boggling, for a multiplayer game of this scale.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, Checked for updates, Changed server location multiple times, tried joining different maps, checked my internet connection (100mb download speed, 10mb upload speed) and Checked my ping (always below 60). I have spent £130 fucking pounds on this game, and i expect to be able to ACTUALLY PLAY IT. I get that its a "Beta", but its been in development for almost 4 years. There is nothing wrong on my end. My PC is absolutely enough to play the game.

Its actually mind boggling. I cant believe a game like this can have this many server issues. Coupled with server updates, server problems, servers going under maintenance, and now also being disconnected without warning, this is literally unacceptable for a game that costs £40 for a standard edition, when its not even finished, and £130 for the "Season Pass" edition. PLEASE. FIX. YOUR. FUCKING. GAME. sometimes its outright unplayable, which is again, mind boggling, for a multiplayer game of this scale.
