to be honest, I'm quite happy by the way they are approaching monetization on the game. Having the option of paying for stash/inventory space like Path of Exile does is by far the best outcome we can get in the era of P2W games and microtransactions
The EOD vs Standard doesn't give a big tangible advantage in a player to player interaction. You won't kill other players easier because of EOD

1 spawn puts you 500 meters away from the resort and some 50 meters away
at least by the time you get to the resort geared guys get to it too so you can ACTIVATE SNEAKING MODE and kill everybody
especially since you can hear if somebody is looting from other side of the resort with the headset
from my experience resort has least bugged sound in the game

shoreline has weird room sound if you are directly below/above that room (it sounds the same)
interchange has sound behind you when they are in front and other weird things like that
resort has unhearable weapons glitch and has the same problem as shoreline
woods has unhearable weapon glitch and walking on grass sound is weird
factory is too small because sound is everywhere but other than thatis pretty decent
i can't talk about labs but im sure that sound glitch is somewhere in it

if you know what materials are there on what floor you can tell where someone is even if you don't have accurate sound cues
