the S8 isn't bad, size-wise. It's also fairly durable on the front, but the back breaks real easy even in a case.
The closest common item I've got on hand to compare it to is your average deodorant stick.
Oh actually one critique of the S8, the lense covering the camera is both distressingly fragile and prone to picking up dust and fingerprints even in a case so it requires cleaning often.

second, if you run afterburner. what is your hardware usage. and 3, overclock? and small tips... Tweak nvidia driver settings, and when starting tarkov. set tarkov exe to high priority
i could try to help you find out whats causing the issue, but.. not here.. but, system should be able to do above 60 fps.. what resolution btw?

i just found out nvidia driver set to overwrite tarkov aa gave me better fps and better image vs taa, or what its called. i really dont like tarkov ingame aa.. image is to smooth\blurred. Edit, also enablet mfaa plus multisample.. didnt expect result to be that drastic. but, interchange was 120fps 90% of the time

My luck with this game.. First raid of the night, i get a keytool, blue keycard, factory key and a bunch of other nice shit, killed a couple of PMC's in the process with no hickups from the game.
Second raid, headshot a scav 4 times, he turns around starts sprinting for cover, get's behind cover, headshot him twice again and finally dies.. 10min later, a PMC suddenly came rushing through some bushes right in front of me and one taps me without making a single sound.
It's getting to the point where it's just fucking stupid again, there's no streamline in what's normal or fucked, every round is like playing russian roulette. One raid goes perfectly, the other raid the game is acting like it's dark souls, trying every fucking trick up it's sleeve to kill you, may it be heavy stutters entering a firefight, may it be sound bugs, may it be cheaters, may it be scavs that eats a 10 bullets to the face and still kills you, or even getting ghost killed 5 min in to a silent raid because of a heavy desync.
That'll be it for my daily rant. 😂

Can i rant now? I am completely convinced that at the beginning of a raid, Shoreline has a higher player count than scav count. Im doing the blueberry armor quest for Peacekeeper, and Holy shit! Past two raids: First raid i spawned in close to radio tower and got shot running to crane (fair enough). Second raid i spawn at the marshlands: No SCAVS.I searched every crevice of the village: GHOST TOWN. Went to Tunnels and scoped the Island: EMPTY. Started moving to Pier and someone knocked my blueberry off from a mile away. Two games, no kills. where the scavs at for sure?

@spice wren Of course it has a higher player count than scav count, scavs usually spawn in after a player has passed through, or have been lurking around a typical scav spawn for a little while. (that's one of the things that causes stutters as well, spawning in scavs)

Both aren't entirely correct, I've gotten the resort spawn an ran in to half a dozen scavs inside.

Some locations might have pre-loaded scavs, but I've been at resort without a single scav, and when other PMC's have come rushing in, the scavs have started spawning as well. It's probably somewhat random, but in most of my experiences at least, is that scavs comes after a little while 🤷♂️

Yeah, I'm trying to write a thing for the wiki about scav spawns and it's beyond fucky.
The best I can figure is that there are spawn nodes at certain locations and each node has its own spawn % chance, just like loot.
But there's also a max cap per wave
Though I haven't determined if it's a map wide cap or a region cap

I'm definitely not sure on this, but as an example: powerstation on Shoreline, has 1 sniper and 2-3 scavs on the ground, after they're killed, there won't spawn new ones there. So maybe region capped 🤔
They've changed the scav spawn a lot since last wipe, that's for sure. You could basically sit on emercon and farm unlimited amounts of scavs, but that's not possible anymore, at least not like how it used to be. lol
