So basically there are pmc runs, the ones you been doing. You bring in your own gear etc. There are also scav runs, which give you a random loadout to spawn into a map with, you can loot the map, extract and keep all the stuff your guys has including weapons or armor he started with. The best way to safely make money as a new player is to do scav runs and either try to extract immediately or hit some safe areas to loot. When i first started I would run factory, since the map is so small its easy to extract so if i had a nice gun i just extracted and either sold it or used it for a raid. The downside to scavs is that you dont have a container to put stuff for safekeeping, and once completed you have a 15-20 min timer before you can scav run again

I have been playing for almost 6 months my guy. Ive definitely had a fair share of bad experiences but ive never felt like my experience would be better if I paid for EoD instead of my base game. The point of the game is the rich get richer and you can run lobbies as a geared PMC. The point of scav runs is to be a scavenger/total rat. Scav lobbies would be ass because people would complain that their scav is underpowered compared to another scav with random gear
