Saigas came into the US in "sporter" configuration, meaning the trigger is farther back than it should be, and the front end doesn't accept standard furniture, and they need their front sight blocks and gas blocks swapped out

Take it from someone that regrets selling his IZ Saiga, their one of the best goddamn AK pattern guns you can get. Their hard not to love.

And Arsenal made fully converted Saiga's themselves (the SGL line)
And you can find some fully converted ones done by independent builders as well
So it's not a completely lost cause, but it's gonna be expensive
I like Saigas more just because of the Izhmash markings and Russian parts (Bulgarian parts vary a bit from Russian parts, like the FSB/GB on my 107CR compared to a 104), but really Arsenal and Saiga are about in the same league. Just depends on what you wanna spend and what's important to you.
