As for how to tell scavs part from players, it hard and i usually just avoid shooting anyone who doesn't shoot at me on Scav runs, unless i know for certain they are hostile (i.e. they shoot other scavs) imo it's not worth the karma hit to kill a scav by accident unless you have like a million worth of loot and you want to survive at all costs

Use map genie and you just stand there for most of them and extract over 5-10 seconds

also some extracts arent always available, like ruaf roadblock in customs is only open if the light is on

and you will only have certain extracts based on where you spawn

so if you spawn next to zb 1011 you wont have that as an extract, your extracts are usually on the opposite side of the map

Yep, they are hostile to scavs who infiltrate. They are also on the roof of each warehouse. Sometimes they can stray a little from the warehouse they are assigned to, but that is usually because they are chasing/hiding from an engagement
