Looking at the different editions and the stash size is different. The wiki states that it can be upgraded to 10x68 in any edition. How time or resource intensive is it, and how much of a QoL does a bigger stash size get you?

For example, the difference is absolutely massive in Path of Exile, where the standard stash is basically unusable if you wish to play any endgame at all.

On an Edge of Darkness account; the first quest you do earns you enough rep to be at this milestone

@tough gull as EOD player you start with a level 4 stash, to get to that same level just by upgrading your hideout you will have to invest 32 million rubel in raw funds and bout 3-5 million rubel extra on materials

the construction times for all upgrades total more than a week and pure upgrade time

Ive never played Path of Exile but the time investment for the stash upgrades can vary between players greatly
Some players take a week to earn 25million rubles; other players can be 2-3 months before they see 10million rubles

@tough gull Theres a container attached to your character that allows you to keep/bring in items you have no chance of losing as long as they remain in this container
The basic edition has 4 slot-2x2 container
the prepare for escape edition has a 6 slot-3x2 container
Edge of Darkness ha a 9 slot- 3x3 container

you can earn bigger containers but many hours into the game will be required
