@bold kernel You need to just try raiding with a decent kit. Gear up well, decide on what you want to accomplish before the raid, then go do it. If you die, so be it - you'll always get good gear again.

grab a molot 366 for cheap, throw a suppressor on it, walk around and kill stuff on the map you feel most confident on
you can mosin too, but the 366ap is quite competent at this point in the wipe, and you'll get the gun back more frequently

I really enjoy playing duo and trio. Playing quad and especially penta it starts to get really hard to know where all your teammates are and I constantly get killed because I hesitate when I see an enemy unsure of whether they're a teammate or not lol

Yeah armbands can help. It's a problem that they're only on one arm though because there's so many situations where you can't see them

penta is so unbelievably useless
it doesnt add much good shit and makes communication extremely difficult

When I play with my friends in a penta we almost never all die so you damn near always get everything back from insurance which is nice
I don't think I can think of a single case where our whole 5 man died, so that's worth noting

it means if the item you insured isnt taken by somebody out of the raid, you get it back
if your insured stuff is still on the map by the time everybody is dead or extracted, you get it back from death

Other advice would be not to buy anything you don't need right away and to make use of rigs that hold more items than they take up space to make more room.
