@open pine map depends on your playstyle, interchange is flank and stealth with some nice gunfights, factory is fast chaotic combat etc, best ways to stay alive is just to play slow and avoid fighting players until youve learned combat and maps, and youll find the 153s passively. just focus on learning maps and fighting some scavs, running offline raids also help.

@round terrace sherpa is given to highly experienced people who like teaching new players. a great start is to join the sherpahub and show your dedication to the program. you then have to finish a trial which takes a few weeks until you become a sherpa (at the end there is a test n stuff) and you will be monitored closely
so in essence, its a title earned not given and if you only do it because you want that green name, chances are you will not get it or lose it quite quickly

so usually ppl survive longer on scav runs since you spawn in later = less pmcs. also other scavs / scav AI do not attack you unless you aggro them which results in a higher surv rate
the general gist of highering your surv rate as pmc is playing slower and watching / hearing the map move. dont be afraid to take your time and play it save. you should play the game like there is a guy behind every corner and clear, wait.
Also a great start is sherpahub and find dedicated players there who specialise in helping out new players. they can show you around and assist you in your early steps
and ye its most likely you not knowing the game yet. dying often is the process of being a new eft player
(or rather any eft player in general

Exfil is the best in all regard for that.
