Put simply, do dealer tasks, insure your stuff, ammo is key, learn 1 map then stick with it, hunt scavs, prepare to lose your gear, and most importantly remember to not be too greedy

There’s plenty of guides and charts to tell you what ammo you should use and how certain systems work in depth but just take it in steps, don’t freak out over all this new stuff

@tawdry flare A lot of players make more money on scav runs than PMC runs... Your scav runs are safer because you spawn in so much later. If you're dying all the time on your scav runs then you need to do something differently.. switch up the map... go to different areas... move slower or faster

@dapper dagger you don't need your generator on constantly to make stuff... Until you get Bitcoin and intelligence center... So at like meds stat, workbench, etc.. turn your fuel on, make something, and as soon as you start making something turn the generator back off. It'll make it without fuel.
You just need the generator on to start making, not to continue making.

sks is cheap and semi auto so choose that if you cant hit your shots easily, the mosin is bolt action and has a really good ammo type so choose that if you can hit your shots

suppressors are a lil rarer than other mods though

yea i know but like certain maps drop certain items like suppressors and stuff cuz before the wipe that mp5sd suppressor spawned in customs and interchange now they don't spawn there

If you stealthy like Sam Fisher you can close the kiba doors behind you and loot quietly with no alarms; then leave kiba when you are ready
People will run by the store if the alarm is off-- most people dont even check the doors

I mean it feels like Im spawning in with a 'Deploying' more often than not with one server selected instead of multiple or 'Best available' but I havn't written down numbers lol

the most important things to know IMO, is:
- know how to move around / maneuver your character
- know your map layout and where extracts are
- know sound cues, and from where do those sounds come from
- know the gunplay (aiming, shooting, controlling recoil)
- know where to find loot / scavs / other players
I think that's a simple enough but exhaustive list of the game

@vernal iris you don't really need to, but once you unlock the Workbench / Workshop in your hideout, you can use the Modding option from the context menu, and missing vital parts will be highlighted red
at Level 10, you unlock flea market which helps a lot with locating gun parts
