If I throw a ball down vertically, and I drop another ball from the same height simultaneously, will they both hit the ground at the same time?

The relevant equation is:

d = ut + 1/2 \times a t^2

Where ‘d’ is the distance fallen, ‘u’ is the initial velocity, ‘a’ is the acceleration (gravity) and ‘t’ is the time. The two balls have the same ‘a’ - the one you dropped has a ‘u’ of zero - so the one that was thrown down has whatever ‘u’ it had when you let go of it.

So if you released one, and gave the other one (say) 0.1 meters of extra speed - then after one second, it’ll be 0.1 meters ahead of the one you just dropped.

Even if the balls eventually reach their terminal velocity due to air resistance, the one that had an initial velocity will reach that maximum speed sooner and will retain whatever lead it has from that point onwards.

I would be extremely surprised if a physics teacher couldn’t figure that out in zero time flat - so I suspect that you either inadvertently asked a *slightly* different question - or your teacher misunderstood what you asked.

If you left out the words “down vertically” - then your physics teacher would probably assume you meant “horizontally” - and if you throw a ball horizontally, it will indeed hit the ground at the same time as one you simply dropped.

Now *THAT* is quite a surprising thing - and one of those questions that comes up quite often. So I wouldn’t be at all surprised if that’s what the teacher thought you were thinking about.

So if I were you, I’d go back to the teacher and very specifically say “VERTICALLY” - and I’m sure you’ll get the same answer at I gave you.```

Secured perimeter is rather easy if you're okay at PVP

For secured perimeter, I used an MP7 with 30 round mags of FMJ SX, the 6B3TM armored rig, and the Zsh helmet.

The "factory office area" isn't just the office, it's that entire "building" (bathrooms, staircases, etc)

Just curious if presets are working right now? I have a preset for all the gunsmiths and whenever I try and build gsp9, it says there's not enough space. dont run everywhere. This isn't call of duty. unless your aim and overall sensitivity is perfect, if the other guy sees you first and he heard you running, he's gonna kill you 99.9999% of the time.

there's nothing wrong with laying an ambush. I don't fuck with explicit camping, but if you hear gunfire, setting up a fortified position is totally fine.
