customs can be good to learn on but brutally punushing at times, the first thing to try and learn on customs (or any map for that matter) is the spawns... the most dangerous part of any raid is in the first 5 mins when everyone is working out of spawns, experienced players will set themselves for easy kills knowing there is someone that spawned in an area close and cutting them off... thats why people complain about getting spawn trapped. first thing i do in raid is think: 1. where did i spawn? 2. where's the close spawns to me? 3. how do i get an advantage/ try to avoid on those other spawns?

Hey guys fairly new to the whole tarkov thing.. fell in love with this game after a friend convinced me to pick it up ive put in 73 hours in 12 days. Currently only lvl 13.. I got the whole aiming thing down but this game absolutely kicks my ass. I cant seem to win gun fights. I have over 2000 hours of CS experience and consider myself a "decent" head clicker but damn. Everytime i hear a footstep my heart just beats out of my chest and i lose all of that and get roasted by somebody. Is it gear fear ? Ive been hording items but this week ive been focused on being a chad and not a rat anymore.. Anybody experience anything like this when first playing ? Am i crazy? Do i just need to lose everything get over the fear and then ill be good ? Appreciate it guys ❤️

gear fear is keeping stuff because you don't want to use it. imo just sell it or use it. map knowledge is good, it will come in time. if you aren't already i suggest using a headset

if you use at least decent ammo and can aim good then your problem is probably more map knowledge related

Yeah it is a kick in the teeth. The LFG here is good. I have met some great people I play with regularly. If you just post region and map or task you can often get a buddy. I don't like to get a big group together because that makes it so much harder when you don't know each other
