@still crystal Set yourself up in high traffic areas. Patience is a virtue for this quest. For Customs. I'd recommend setting yourself up on one side of the river, or in the building where you activate ZB-13.
For Interchange, either the towers, extract camping Emercom extract, or camping the long halls in doors.
Woods? Just pick a sniping spot surrounding sawmill. Ez enough.
Shoreline is a bit tougher; I'd recommend hanging around by gas station on the rocks, and moving to where you hear gunshots.

@still crystal Shoreline, push spawns early, find a good overwatch over swamp or field between cell tower and radio station, for early early game, wait for a while. Should reliably see players that way. If it gets later in raid looking down into power from roof of resort is a good spot, spine between power and town is good, and the rocks over tunnel is good. Can also wait around cell tower by customs extract, for late raid, watch the wall.
Customs, sit over land bridges wait all game, can see stashes and scav bodies in the road from the bush right next to the bridge railing, should get SBH for customs done in one raid, two if your unlucky.
Biggest tip, be very patient, watch players, and wait for them to slow down or loot or do something stupid before taking a shot. If you shoot to early and miss they go on high alert, means they wont stay still for you and also will be activly seeking your location. If one bullet isnt enough for a kill and get one mark done on your quest you have royally fucked up. (ALWAYS 0 ANY DMR OR SNIPER TO 100m, Doesnt change aim for point blank shots only gives you range with no drawback)
Do these things and SBH is the easiest quest in the game.

if you're struggling to install / access files or software that you know for certain is safe, and ONLY if you know that for certain, you can test if your firewall or anti-virus is causing issues by temporarily disabling it and trying to do what you wanted

I googled 'host file being accessed by another process "webroot"' and found this
anti-virus and firewall softwares can lock up things they believe to be dangerous, even if you run the software as admin and know it's 100% safe
so disable it and try installing tarkov, if that doesn't work, disable it and try the host file thing again

windows 10 has windows defender, that's all you need for day-to-day use, as long as you aren't visiting dodgy websites and downloading random software if you ain't a sysadmin or in cybersecurity installing anti-virus software will probably just make your life difficult

for future reference editing your host file isn't safe, what you did is redirected a specific address to an IP address

I've done it in the past as a website blocker when I need to focus, I re-direct traffic to facebook and twitter to 0.0.0.0 which isn't an IP address you can connect to, so it blocks the website
you can also redirect yourself to malicious websites, so if any old chap tells you to change your host file make sure you know what you're doing first

@blazing heron if the mags are insured and are in the rig and arent taken you'll get those back too, but not the bullets inside the mags... but yes, youll most likely get your rig/backpack back, but not the items inside that you looted

@zenith loom if you have standard then save the small tushonka, cigs, toolset, and gas analyzer. you need most of that but you can buy it later. with standard stash i'd only save what needs to be fir

and practice running around killing scavs

The quest stash is for items you will not ever use/craft/trade etc....
like there's a quest where you have to go into customs and get something
then take that item into factory and place
if you got the item from customs, you can transfer the quest item in to your quest stash
and then whenever you want to go back into factory to complete it, you would move the item back over into your character quest inv

@zenith loom that is the reason. i think i usually get it before lvl 10 so its annoying to find them. but i guess if you're new that isn't likely so you can probably sell it (it was also very expensive early wipe but that also isn't the case now). thinking about it now i guess keeping it was bad advice since i was thinking about it from the perspective of someone who does quests quickly at the start of wipe.
bipods don't do anything currently except reduce recoil and ergo, but that small amount of recoil on a bolt gun isn't worth the ergo loss, just sell it
