Also another pro tip, don't use the hybrid 46 suppressor - it kinda sucks in terms of cost. There are quite a few good suppressors, most being around 30k as opposed to 100k

It has worse stats than the Wave QD, which goes for 56k from traders (The cheapest)
and arguably if you just wanna suppress your gun, you can pick from one of the 30k-ish suppressors like the gemtech one.

Same here man, the only way I survive a raid as a pmc is if i don't come across any other pmcs. Scavs are 50/50 but if a pmc notices me i'm dead. i.e the shoreline raid i just did where i only lasted 5 minutes or so

yeah, then break a bone, heal it (but don't splint the broken bone part), take painkillers so you can walk at regular speed, then murder the scavs you need to

the ideal is where you know scavs regularly spawn, and have some height nearby to break your legs -- oh, and bring a splint to heal your legs after to extract, or the walk out might take a while
but surviving isn't crucial for this particular quest either

@vagrant hollow my advice, as a new player myself, bring class 2 armor (paca/6b2) and a shotgun into a nighttime raid. walk+sprint directly to your quests and stick to the outskirts of the map to avoid conflict

@void lark Factory is awesome, there is actually a bit of cash to be made as a scav if youre willing to kill other scavs, or as a player if youre willing to be aggressive... interchange is a great map for loot, but it's massive, and easy to get lost in til you start running it a handful of things... Woods is an awesome map if you like long range/sniping engagements and PVP... It's not only PvP, but there's not a 'ton' of scavs to be found... Shoreline is a decent map for loot, but there's a lot more running around and sniping than on interchange...

only in about my 500th hour have i started becoming more aggressive, and more successful
Thing is... you need more trigger time... sometimes, if you identify low armored PMCs, try being agressive and forcing them to make stupid quick decisions... get the upper hand and kill them
Playing cat and mouse is often going to lead you to losing if you dont have much experience with shooting time
Retreating and/or flanking and repositioning are almost always better than staying put when someone knows your position and you dont know theirs

you'll still get into fights, but get money and familiarize yourself with more angles in a map, and where the best places to find PMCs are, and wheres the best places to avoid them...
Learning those maps, and running them over and over will also help in those fights dramatically, bc you'll know where to actually reposition and flank to

unfortunately tarkov isnt a game that lends well to just like a few hours a week... you gotta put in on average of 15-20+ hours a week
