I am trying to figure out if I can go a bit "advanced" and start packing diff types of ammo into my mags, first the high pen rounds, and then suff with high flesh dmg. It might not work at all and suck, but this is something I want to try (I get that it would depend a lot on my aim and the body parts that I hit)

the problem with that is you need bullets to hit in a certain order, if too many hit right away they die and you now have low pen bullets ready to fire, if the early ones miss to much their armor is still strong

yes I understand that of course. Its more advanced approach for more advanced gameplay. I can see it working for shotguns with Flechette/AP as first 2 rounds and then going full buckshot. It might give me a very small (tiny) edge. Also I can see this working with pistol rounds, as I can try to land a surprise headshot with AP ammo, but then if that does not kill them they will be alerted to my location and start shooting back at which point I will just spray and pray.
but anyway, main idea is to understnad how armor damage works. I was under the impression that bullets with 40 dmg would just 1 tap my 6b armor with 40/40 dura
yes mp-9 is on my list. My highest success was with mpx (and mp5 following that), but I downgraded to PPSH and shotguns as that is even cheaper, while Im still learning

I divide Interchange into Olli/Techlight as tier 1, Killa/middle mall as tier 2, and then lastly Idea/Mantis as tier 3.
Anything beyond tier 2 isnt worth trying for.
I guess you can get a lucky key spawn in power station but if you dont spawn immediately outside of it, everyone else in that area is gunning for it and therefore not worth it.

I would start off - With few thing 1. Get into a game and examine all items you got in stash with right click and examine or middle mouse button once you do that go to each traider in section training and do the same all greyed items Examine it.
- Each trader got a tasks to complete accept them they unlock by lvl or by progressing trought the previous quests.
- If you are not similar with keybinds just take a look on keybinds setting. 4. Go into a game as PMC just take sidearm and 3-4mags with bullets in it then proceed with pmc as your main char on Customs Map Click next - and check the offline mode next check unable scavs and choose options as Online difficulties and amount of scavs hit next and join in the game to try the game out movement , guns. 5 For the map use tarkov wiki and maps to figure out where did you spawn or where are you . Once you are in game double press "O" and find out your extract and time left .

I went into Reserve with an M1A to test the trajectory of long-range shots in offline mode wearing the same armor for my Shoreline setup and when killing the 3 scavs I was missing for the quest it gave me the Objective Complete! - Humanitarian Supplies etc. Just wondering before I waste my time wearing it on a different map atm.

Is it normal that you could get shot from the same person standing still 50 times and still dont have a clue where he is? I cant tell accurate directions from sounds in this game at all whatsoever. Also seeing people in bushes or similar spots they can ''camp'' is impossible to me. If they dont run in the open i wont see them.

Try this sometime. Get a sprut and put three flashlights on it. Turn them on then remove from gun. Toss it in a bush. Lights stay on and you can use it as bait and get PMCs searching the bush for that juicy gun 🙂

@ruby ocean Some of these tasks are seem really dumb, true. Helps to remember that all the tasks we have seen so far are side tasks. We have not seen any of the story yet in Tarkov.
Personally I do not mind them because it forces you to explore other guns that you may not try out otherwise. For example the AKS-74U kills on customs. Did that last wipe and fell in love with the baby AK and used it a lot through the rest of the wipe.

yeah those quests made me feel very different over some other weapons like shotgun slugs for punisher (12gauge kills on woods on scavs) but, if i may ask @celest condor , whats the value of an AKS to a regular AK? Only thing afaik is the slightly better ergo and the smaller profile (so your gun doesnt stick out as much reducing your chances of getting spotted), so whats the value other than that if i may ask?

that helps with ensuring you are less prone to getting shot at from a distance and forces you into more CQC which tends to be a bit more fair, i also notice people queue less for nightraids and people tend to be less pvp oriented as well. Player scavs also spawn far less in nightraids, with maybe the exception of Interchange

im honestly not sure, it might be the offline being weird because i feel the same way sometimes offline where scavs seem to eat way to many shots

the thorax has 85 health and all 5.45 rounds regardless of their damage deviation will be a 3 shot to the chest if they pen or arent reduced from armor

by selling you gain space and roubles as immediately as opposed to holding on to something that wont be useful for 2 weeks
again, if its a FiR quest thats reasonably close or difficult you should keep it
the last thing is generally barter items get cheaper as time goes on meaning you actually lose money by not selling

If not you could start with the beans and golden cock. Hand drill takes up a lot of space and only 1 is need for stash 2, so it's typically safe to sell
