It's really about which one's sound you like the best as far as I can tell, although I'd say the one exception is the Gssh is probably the worst, no surprise you can buy them from ragman right away

hey guys, I want to run a loadout on reserve... is the best way to extract via the dome extract atm? I liked d2 but it's full of people exfil camping atm

There is no real safe extract, but you're better off trying to extract through cliff descent if you have RR and Paracord, you can try bunker hermetic door but that is a risky since you'll be needing to travel to the bunker exit itself. Somewhat safe extract is the sewer manhole but you would need to ditch your backpack and any contents inside it.

I think the scav aim is alright personally. Yeah it's frustrating those times where they full strafe one tap you, but they do kind of need to be a problem that people shouldn't just be able to run away from or stand still in a bad spot and gun them down every time
If you don't run into players or you're looking to kill scavs for loot, they need to be a challenge as well as possible at the same time

@rough hare you can level it with any sniper but since you have to use mosins for many of jaegers quests you could easily do it that way

hey guys i need some help with loadouts, i like to run factory and customs and a rare run on woods (haven't tried other maps yet, very low experience with interchange as well) I would prefer budget loadouts, no more than 200k including weapon with armor ammo meds, etc. This is what i usually run. looking for help.

yes the reloading is a little tough even with the 20 rounder. Yeah the vepr does seem pretty decent, i should give another try.

Any scope you can play with is fine.
Scopes are a lot about your preference.
Cheap ones have no use if you cant play with them.
And Foregrip (RK1 from Skier) is also a fairly cheap mod, if you can get a cheap handguard, sure.

Personally I cant play with Iron sights, but everyone is different, thats why I like to add a Scope

A full auto setup you could try is 6B3TM (Armor Rig) , Penis Helmet, Comtacs, PP-19 w/ a cobra mount and gp-25 recoil pad, mags and 200 Pst Gzh . PK + Salewa + Skav backpack + 2 nades would be around the 200k mark

6.3 pens bad armors, has a decent chance to pen okay armors and wont pen good armors -- but it doesnt matter - cause even when it doesnt pen it does a ton of damage to it, and if you are on full auto, by the 4th or 5th bullet, they have no more armor, and a good spray is like 10-20 bullets.
you can buy it at higher trader levels I think.

if you are starting out PST is not that terrible, just keep in mind that you may have to empty two mags into thick boiz like my self, but after the first mag odd's are they are injured.

@low pier Food does not level your metabolism skill if you eat it in your stash
Only keep food required for specific barter trades -- even then it isn't necessary
Use this link https://escapefromtarkov.gamepedia.com/Ballistics to help decide what ammo to use; as a new guy any ammo to shoot is good; it levels your recoil control skill for cheap but there are ammo types that are more reliable
As for the other stuff in your stash; you need to sell/buy a certain amount of Rubles worth from each of your traders (ragman, prapor etc) so don't stress about selling things
There is a very small amount of items in this game that are truly RARE that you wouldn't want to sell by accident; like any of the multi colored labs cards, select keys, and several weapon parts, cases (weapon, holodilnik case etc) --pretty much everything else is relatively easy to find

The way I look at it is this; One cell in my stash can be worth X
If I have no space in my stash at all- I have to be willing to part with the stuff in one cell valued at 2000rubles (or wtvr amount applies to you); because I like to think the cells in my stash are worth much more than 2000 rubles or 20 pistols rounds
From there it is a balancing act to ensure you never run out of things; and always have some rubles :)

does anyone know how armor damage (not pen) works? I watched Veritas's video on "ballistics" - it was very informative and explained everything (even complex things), but did not explain pure armor DMG. Say if a bullet has 35 armor DMG and it does not pen my armor (for whatever reason, this is not important why it does not pen) - will it deal 35 DMG to my armor and take away 35 pts of durability?
lets assume my armor is lvl 4 (lvl does not matter in this case as Im not looking at pen %) and is 40/40 dura. Bullet pen does not matter either, just that it 100% did not pen the armor. What damage is done to the dura of the armor, if its a 35 armor dmg bullet?

thats hard to say, armor materials have different damage modifiers so the listed durability is kinda misleading
so like 6b3tm has 73 effective durability instead of the 40 that is listed
I'm not sure exactly how armor damage is applied
if it pens it does less damage, and a ricochet on a helmet does exactly 1 point
in theory the 35 armor damage bullet vs 6b3tm would do 19 damage to the 40 durability
but i feel like that isn't quite true

right, Im not looking at edge cases or ricochet or when it pens (when it pens - its too late haha), but yes I run 6b3tm and was trying to figure out if its 40/40 only stops like 1 bullet. (most bullets deal like 35-40 dmg, not lookint at larger rifle rounds that deal 80+). Also the comment about it having 73 effective dura is making it even more confusing for someone who is new hah

like with certain "non-meta" crappy ammo, it might actually make sense to still runn it and have performance similar to BIS (best in slot) depending on the gun and the RPM. Like I noticed that a 1000 RPM PPSH (my current budget gun for CQB Factory runs) melts lvl 4 armor pretty fast and is arguably the best choice with lvl 3 Prapor and all other traders still stuck at lvl 2
