no the way the system works is this

you need to either have 600xp or be in raid for 10 mins, then what ever you have on you ( gamma or not) if extracted is counted in raid

@lapis crag If PMC Customs is probably the most beginner friendly, although still a murderfest. I'd Scav in on Customs too when learning. If you have some awareness, try scav on Interchonk or Shoreline. Although those are bigger maps, and will require a map to keep open on the side, if you can manage

anything above lvl 10 and onwards is worth keeping

everything below it is best sold, but i keep them as trophies in a dogtag case

the game also "remembers" what firemode you last had for your rifle, so if oyu use a AK-74N on auto and die and use another 74N in the next ru n it will still be on auto

but a 74N is different than a 74M or 74, so its best to check everytime you use a weapon at the start of a raid
