dump your entire inventory full of medkits
become dehydrated and out of energy
and keep popping as much medkits as you can
while you camp near the exfil
once you run out of kits, exfil quickly

2nd. keep a map open on 2nd screen or phone. hide in a building then find out where u are and where u need to go

The maps are actually very simple, I would say stick to customs for now and you'll find you learn the map pretty quickly. The hardest part is the beginning since you don't know any of the landmarks or anything

my only advice is before u give it up 100%... commit to one map. play offline till u have successfully completed 2 or 3 pmc raids. keep that map open for quick reference. i mean the one i sure is so detailed it has every tree on it

Just do scav runs when ever you can, if you wait until later in the raid you can usually find a few dead bodies at some of the hotspots and get a gun and some loot then just leg it for the exfil

@viral lynx play offline for at least 2 or 3 pmc raids. keep a map open on 2nd device. first things is to find out where u are. and where u are going. then just try and make ur way there learning the hotkeys and killing a few scavs. go fully kitted u dont lose anything if u die offline. but make sure its offline
the map im looking at literally has every tree mapped. playing offline u can basically just stand there and look at whats around u and then scan map to find out where u are. once u learn a few key locations u wont need to look at map for where u are. but only for exactly where the exfils are.

the vss levels the DMR skill so it doesnt benefit from the recoil reduction that you get from your assault rifle skill while the val uses the AR skill and benefits from the recoil reduction

I'm not exactly new but I don't know where else would be good to ask this since I suck at PVP in this game.. However, how can players spot and aim at people super easily and quickly? I was behind a bush; about 20m away from a couple of PMCs, tried to headshot one with a few shots (hit him once but had a very heavy helmet I didn't see), but then they instantly started spraying at me despite not being able to see my muzzle flash while being behind a bush nor be able to hear where I exactly am. At least I can't really hear where people EXACTLY are when they shoot :/ I also wonder how they sprayed me so efficiently when even low recoil AKs in this game (one of them was using an AKM or 74 since the fire rate sounded like 600-650 RPM while hearing an AK) because you still need to concentrate on controlling the recoil.
I don't know how anyone can do that so well.

Maybe they saw muzzle flash or part of your gun was sticking out through the bush. Also at long distances, sometimes the trees and bushes won't show for people so you can see people inside of or behind things. They also could have been using thermals and saw parts of you through that.

You sure about that? I was a couple of metres behind a rather wide bush and they could've been but I doubt they could see me that quickly with them when they were sprinting to something else before I shot them.

That's the thing also, I didn't use tracers too and I had a muzzle brake but it was also slightly a flash suppressor too.
The flash wasn't huge for during the day on the game I don't think.
However.. I been killed quite a lot of times before just from people hearing exactly where I am, I don't know how people can hear stuff so well.
I don't know if my ears are fucked; but even if a sound is constant on Tarkov, I have such a hard time determing its distance.
I'd be able to kind of tell how far it is but only because the sound itself changes instead of the volume like a gun being fired far away compared to next to me.

It is honestly hard to say without seeing what happened. A lot of people can tell where you are through sound alone.

@river swan hit every filling cabnit you can, also interchange tech stores are good (but dangerous) locations - we have found 4 at the one that is diagonal from the tech store by the escalators and also next to the fallen ramp into the garage, its less dangerous and I bet if you hit it 2-3 times on interchange you'll find 1-3
they are rare spawns but Tech and hardware spawns can do it.

I believe most groups/people generally have different callouts for different things. The big ones are like dorms on customs, bus station on customs/shoreline, gas station and old gas station (the one in the far back), gas station on shoreline etc

try there but the start is always the same: play offline, learn 1 map at a time with exits how to extract where scav spawns ect. get a feeling for the guns
sherpas are players you can ask for advice or to take you through a run to help you with certain things like quests ect.
but really you have to learn it yourself kinda because the first thing is information learning and nobody can take that awy

I just got the game, played 3 matches so far. I have a couple questions if you guys can help me answer.
1 - How do you open doors? I know a menu pops up when you are close to it, I just can't cycle through the options, it will just kick it if I press F again
2 - How do you get orientation about your location? I'm using a map on my mobile but I can't figure where I am within the map to know where I should be going. Is there a compass?
3 - When you are scavenging, you kill everyone you see? I Have heard something that If you kill people while scavenging NPCs may become hostile. So far I can't tell if I'm looking at an NPC or Human player.

- If a door option says "Breach", you either need a key for it, or you can't open it at all.
- The only orientation you have currently is map knowledge. A compass will be added with one of the upcoming patches.
- If you're playing as a Scav, AI Scavs will not shoot you. Other Player Scavs can shoot at you, and there's some differences between them and AI Scavs. If you kill a Player Scav that hasn't shot you, AI Scavs will be hostile.
The best way to learn maps is to play them in offline mode with a 3rd party map.
AI Scavs will never loot bodies, containers, or do the "check inventory" pose. They also will not have another weapon on their back.

The door is locked then. Either you need a key or it's blocked. You can open doors when a 'open door' options pops up in the menu

There isn't a compass at the moment. However you can train yourself by going into offline mode and playing a round with your casual gear. You won't loose or win anything.

NPC becomes hostile when you shoot them or attack them verbal or e.g. show your middle finger.

yes, you turn generator on, start crafting, turn generator off. you don't need to remove the fuel. it is normal for the time to increase by a lot but its usually worth saving the fuel for bitcoin farm
