but you aren't guaranteed, and do note you only need to kill 5 scavs in customs, and then turn in two mp133 guns - you don't need them from customs
you can play other maps, or even scav run interchange and bring one out to turn in

damn dude I just had a friggin intense shootout with this dude in Olli parking garage.
id killed 4 scavs to that point and been insanely loud about it.
he came out to investigate, didn't see me, sprayed where he thought i was, missed the first volley. ducked down. He pushed me way too hard too fast,while i was reloading.
Number 1 lesson, 500 IQ play,same fuck up I always make. When youre fighting PMCs dont heal or reload until the threat is gone.

@rugged tiger caliber types matter a lot, so make sure you don't skimp on that. Rather a mediocre gun with powerful ammo than a good gun with weak ammo, usually speaking. I'd say the mosin infantry rifle is a good call, cheap and uses sniper rounds. 7.62x54 LPS GZH isn't that expensive and has a very high pen. VEPR AK (the one that accepts 7.62 ammo, not the .366) is a good one too, SKS is a good weapon as well.
PS rounds are widely available and not that expensive either, can be used in both the SKS and the VEPR

- accuracy is bad, - recoil is good, positive accuracy is good, positive recoil is bad.

Rec batteries. One trades straight to mechanic for an ADAR2-15 which is a very solid gun you can hold on to for most of the game.
youll find rec batteries mostly in file cabinets and jacket pockets.

Objectively there really isn't a best gun (some people will argue about this.) its not really about what gun you bring so much as do you bring ammo that is likely to penetrate the armor of the opponents you expect to face. Pretty early game starting loadout is the SKS with PS ammo. PS ammo was probably okay the first week of the wipe, and its basically dogshit now.
I put 9 bullets point blank of PS into the chest of a scav earlier today, he killed me 😦

IMO, M4/416 is viable in the endgame. So is the 74N,74U whatever, so is the VSS and AS VAL. Some people swear by the M1A, really like that gun personally but I need full auto.
