Hello all - After completing the "Setup" mission for Skier, I was wondering if Devs would be kind enough to change the wording on the mission slightly. Here is the original text: That intel worked out just as planned! They wanted to ambush my couriers but got caught by surprise. He-he. But now, my men are having some serious troubles with those pricks. This gang has outfits of their own, their key-fighters wear ushankas, scav vests and use MP shotguns, what a bunch clowns, aren't they? So, what you should do, dress up like one of them (Scav vest, ushanka and have MP-series shotgun) and kill PMC's, I don't care about factions, it's important to get PMC's into this fight on our side. You get it?"
Objective: Kill 15 PMC's at Customs. You must be wearing spec. gear
I would petition to change the objective to: "Kill 15 PMC's at Customs. You must obtain these kills while wearing spec. gear, using the shotgun."
as it stands currently, it does not specify whether the kills need to be obtained with the shotgun, or if you simply need to be WEARING the gear, and get the kills some other way (Grenade, juice cannon etc).

Just because it's specified gear, and the flavor text indicated that i need to WEAR it, not use, I feel like there's room to be more specific. i have a question, i have massive gear fear. This translated from rust (which i have 1400 hours on, about 500 solo) where even if i have insane gear like metal set and ak with tons of meds, and my ak spray and game sense is fine im absolutely terrified. In tarkov, i have a lot of gear sets from tapping geared players who whiff their shots, but im just so scared to lose them, but deep down i know that going with better gear usually leads to even better gear, but the thought of losing it fucking makes me flinch like a goddamn pussy

No, Iβm just really bad. I have a tendency to get one shot killed by people I never saw.
Almost every single time Iβve died, itβs been at medium distance from somebody shooting me in the head.
when youre taking shots from around you, immediately turn around and shoot in the direction you think you're taking shots from, bc the goal when youre taking shots is to get them to duck into cover and stop shooting at you, its all a learning curve, trust me, when i started playing this game, i SUCKED at it, i came from call of duty, which im good at and this is nothing like call of duty @bold kernel
I donβt actually play a whole lot of CoD, so Iβm completely used to slow and thoughtful gameplay. My issue is I donβt get a chance to return fire, because they only take one or two shots and Iβm down.

Hey guys, what's up? I've been playing Tarkov for a while now and I can't get any better at spotting targets, be it scav or players. Any tips about it?

And what I've learned so far and I'm actually trying to improve on this game is to get used to center my aim on the head, and not the center of mass of a tagert (e.g: thorax)

To level up traders, you need to be a high enough level for their respective trader levels, you need to spend/sell a certain amount of money to the traders, and you need to have a high enough reputation.
You level up reputation by completing their quests.

the biggest thing that is going to help you on customs with survival rate, more than anything else, is map knowledge and the routes you take around the map
gear is nice and obviously helps win fights but map knowledge is king
if you want to play customs and make money you need to hit the hidden caches and take safer routes around the map
pick your fights and weigh the chances of dying vs making money

i know customs i play it consistently i know where all exits are i know how to get their i know exactly where i spawned just by looking around and i know the majority of all stashes like the raid before that i headshot a 28 got tier 6 armor decided to take it into that raid got another kill my armor went to shit and decdided to extract and then i died

i have had thermals from people i found unlooted on woods while doing scav kills but as soon as i take them in raids i get bonned hard and i prefer to try my shots at distance i rarley like upclose engagements cuz my armor is practically non existant to these rounds they use

yeah next time you get one take it in offline mode and kill some scavs, see how easy it is to track people through even dense brush. and combined with map knowledge and knowing flanks really well you're almost unstoppable
it sucks for new players and they don't stand much of a chance but after the wipe things will be closer to a level playing field

@restive epoch if you can, try and keep most of what you can and wait till you are high enough level to use the flea market, if you find out what is good to sell and what you should keep, then start selling. but right now, sell any guns you know you wont use to mechanic or any armor/ backpacks you think will be useless

If you die just learn from it, use this time til wipe to learn and lose all your loot if you have to
so next wipe when its even playing field you can hopefully be over gear fear

@restive epoch You can trade those knives to peacekeeper for a pistol or mp5. 8 brown wooden ones for the mp5 and 4 black ones for the pistol.
You can also stack backpacks inside of each other to save room.
Weirder, just play. It's the only way to get over it.

You'll lose a ton of money when you first start especially this late in a wipe. The good thing is can find good gear pretty easily right now to replenish what you lose.
I also suggest finding some 120k ish gun and running that over and over. Get a gear set that you are used to and then it'll let you actually learn levels and loot routes.
