Anything you lose in offline doesn't actually get lost so don't worry about dying, but just play the maps, learn extracts and once you are confident you can hop online

Standard or EOD. Nothing in the middle makes any sense. Can't afford EOD my advice would be play on standard until you save up the extra then go EOD. 1 transaction = 1 set of taxes.

it depends on the situation for what you should do. If im in a bad position and theres a 3 man coming right at me ill fast walk / run to get in a better spot. If im surrounded by enemies and all i got is a mosin sniper or something ill just to ease my way out of the area.

Leaving the enemy in the dark is the hard part for me because i've been trained on other games such as R6 where being the aggressive player with 0 brain cells is the superior move, is there a way to help with that or does that come with playing tarkov?

You have the occasional camper like in any game who finds a position to cover hot zones on the map. Then there is the rat that tries to avoid everyone and goes for the kill when target is unaware or busy. Then the chads who goes in hot or die trying. You just gotta figure out what you are most proficient at. Learn how the other type of players would think. Don't be creeping constantly, you're too slow to move from a cover to another cover. Creeping constantly would mean you're probably insecure and thus your enemy would see you as an easy target

Too little map knowledge then. If people are sniper camping, it's often the same spots that are used. Keep playing till you know the map you're playing inside out. You will die a lot, and i know it will be frustrating as hell. That's how it is for every one starting out. The time frame of getting better is also different from person to person. A friend of mine just started 3 days ago, I went with him in 6 raids and survived all. He then thought the game wasn't so bad and went solo the next day, he died in all his raid and started improving the day after

My problem from what i've learned is, I don't know how to take engagements, I'm not scared to lose my gear, I haven't been, I'll run into a gunfight with my best weapon that I've gotten and hope I dont die, but if I do, i wont get mad. Most of my issues arise from me not knowing how to engage a person and when to not engage a person

Don't straight up engage unless you are sure you can take out the person before he can react. Consider getting cover first. Consider other places to run to if your cover is insufficient. Consider the area you are in and where the enemy may reposition to or where you could get ambushed by randoms showing up in the middle

Yeah I'm mostly having issues getting spawn rushed I feel, like I spawn and within 20 seconds someone is on me, and since I don't know the maps or anything I don't know where they are coming from

look up the maps on the wiki and they will show you the spawns, then once you spawn in you can watch the other spawns and see if anyone else is coming
and if you spawn in late to raid then the risk of getting spawn killed is pretty low
