reading the info tab, this looks to be the place to post on here when looking for a sherpa. I'm still relitivley new to the game, and PC gaming as whole, currently making the switch over from xbox. I played tarkov for about an hour the first time and was instantly hooked. I have always been above average at the games I have played in the past, so it bothers me i'm sub par at tarkov currently. We gladly accept any help from the vets/sherpas out there. I want to be prepared as possible for the restart after the wipe.

With the wipe fast approaching and the need to test weapons a priority, I am thinking of using either an ADAR or a vepr hunter as my mid-long range go to. The adar can be modded much more and has access to a suppressor which a solo player needs. It is also very versatile which helps me as a solo player. However, the hunter is a dmr so I believe it hits harders yet lacks a suppressor or close range capabilities. If I am playing on Woods or large, open maps, which weapon is better for me?

@bold breach alot of youtube and learning ammo pen is extremely important you will die alot but give it a few months and you will get the hang of it just remeber you dont have to go fast take your time and you can win most fights that way

For your aim I'd say to load offline factory with good enough bots so they are a challenge

When i do scav runs, i mostly do ok (extract with 2-3 guns some loot better armor vest backpack etc.), but when i do PMC runs I get gunned down instantly (avg survival time is like 2 mins) I dont know what im doing wrong on PMC runs when my Scav runs are good and end up even with decent amount of kills.
