I was afraid at one point, slowly over coming that. The issue Im having is, I drop in fully decked out and still get melted. I believe I hit a dude a few times with SNB from 80 yards and he tanked the rounds it seems like. Dude was even able to lay prone and reload lol. Doesnt seem like Im able to learn the gun fights if Im dead in 5 seconds of the fight starting

@autumn rivet no guarantee that they go through limbs. They certainly can though. Far as I know penetration is a little weird in the game. I have heard rumours about a full ballistics re work though which will hopefully fix some penetration and bullet fragmentation issues.

Personally I love the atlyn for dorms and such. I find that in labs, people seem to run best ammo ( high pen) and they just rip you to pieces
At least in my experience, I tend to use them more on areas where you expect people to be running lower tier ammo. To really capitalize on its protection

I have been slowly getting better at Tarkov and in the past couple solo raids I've done I've done well strategically. I was able to outsmart and move around other players but when I go to shoot them I'll be too excited and miss too many of my shots.
I have been focusing on breathing exercises which have been helping a load but I will still get too excited sometimes and blow my chance. Is there any tips to stay calm or is it something that I'll just get better at over time?

try to spot your breath. I mean, when you in stress, you will hold breath a lot which will increate these reaction, arms tremor and so on. so when you focused on something - try to do a steady deep breathing, that will refresh oxygen in your body and decrease stress. I haven't managed it really well yet, but it really helps
so, if you expect that you are going to firefight - try to breath in advance :)

and if you aiming for survival then my personal opinion: do not move a lot first few seconds. people using predictable path from spawn to points of interest and timinf is known. so if you'll eait extra minute then most likely you'll be late for the cake, but will be alive and maybe get advantage by sneaking behind the people who already reached these points

I used to blame my pc (gtx 760 ti oc 2gb is sucks, it can't steadily handle 30 fps on a midlow settings) for not spotting the enemy first, but turns out that real reason is me
btw, is it possible to adjust deadzone for a mouse? I can't move my point of sight just by few pixels, it is not moving at all then jumps away. I have no such positioning issue in bare Windows so it is definitely the game

Pretty sure mouse nowadays don't have deadzones, if you got deadzones check whatever software you got, or it could be your low specs/low frames

well, it is definitely not a mouse itself and not a windows itself. I tried to alttab from a game and kove mouse just a bit and it is working, my cursor moves dew pixels. then I alttab to a game, aiming using scope and here we go: slight mouse movements doesn't move the aiming. and if I continue to move mouse (even with the same slow speed) it jumps away by maybe 10 pixels and them moving steadily until next stop. seen this issue a lot of time
and it is not related to fps, as I can see

Now as for your skill improvement. the below 30fps can affect your reaction time and the ms of your actions, thus not recommended for close quarter as most of us are running high frames and low latency monitors. Those few milliseconds could cost you your fights. So going for sneak/rat attacks and long range skirmishes would be your best bet
For that you will have to know the maps, and the routes player would usually take to avoid CQC
and to set up ambushes

yeah, and there is the root of issue: I suck at sniping due to problems with spotting target (graphics settings) and aiming (mouse deadzone plus my own skills).
and in cqc combination of my reaction time, aiming issues and my potato pc makes it even worse.
well, I will try to level up myself and save some money for an acceptable gpu then. I believe something like rx570/580 should work

its good practice for when you do quests next wipe but you can also practice with your presets. You dont need to do quests you can just try to get better at pvp if you want
this pistol quest in particular will be much easier after wipe

charging handle doesnt matter too much since at the best it will give you plus 3 ergo but its like 40k if i remember

If the extract of on the other side of the map to where you currently are, is it better to beeline through the middle of a map or try to go all the way around? Mainly talking about reserve
