@strong jolt You can either use the NSPU-M dovetail NV scope that kinda sucks or the Vulcan(i think that's the name) NV scope if ya don't want a NVG that goes in the helmet slot

Just keep moving, never stay in one spot for too long. And get your bearing asap, study a detailed map. Learn the spawns/extracts. AND STAY AWAY FROM LUMBERMIL DURING QUESTS! @shell narwhal

I know theres a shoreline spawn I always catch people with their pants down on. In the swamp theres a spawn next to a house. People usually check the house, and while they do that you can post up right outside the door and shoot them as they come out.

run scavs as often as possible, its a way to not lose anything while learning, shorline is pretty calm to run PMC if you avoid the big resort in the center, aside from that, learn by experience and try not to die, im still a newbie myself though, keep asking around, plenty willing to help

you'll see this as a trend, the higher level gear and stuff really just let you have a couple milliseconds more room for error.

with low level gear, theres really no room to make mistakes. but you get a bit of a cushion with better gear. not a huge one but its there.

again, more room for error. with shittier ammo you need more shots to kill a fast mt helmet, but with better ammo you only need one.

With no helmet you can't protect your head from anything at all, any headshot kills, With helmet theres a little cushion that lets you survive lower class amo.

well in labs the only people you should be afraid of headshotting you are other players. And most players use the ammo that pens altyns in labs, or do so in a very few amount of rounds. So youre pretty much not getting as much protection as you'd like to think, while handicapping your hearing, which as a labs only player I think is really important on that map.

For me, id use M1A. The OPSKS doesn't perform very well at range, as it has reaaalllly bad accuracy. The OPSKS also really has a long reload.

there's a damage screen you have to click through as you review the battle stats, one of them is something like "damage dealt" and contains a section for damage you dealt that was absorbed by armor

i've shot at a dude with 7 of 9 shots hitting and only like 11 damage taken

i don't think 7.62x39 PS is meant to pierce too much body armor as i recall, instead opting for high impact damage to flesh

i have a question
i put a water filter in water collector and it gave me a super water and there was 40 left on the water filter so it automatically started making another water but when the 40 hp was gone it just disappeared and when i put new filter the water started from 5 hours that it takes to make one
how does it work ? i was told for every filter you make 1.5 super water basically but i don't see how it works i am confused

its like a ghost town when i play the map, unless theres that rare chance that some player waited 35 minutes into the raid to snipe me from a mile out

@charred eagle im new too, i would recomend finding a map online for each map you plan to play, start on customs. its confusing at first but customs is like a rectangle. keep the map open, either printed out or on a 2nd screen like i did. if u ever get lost, look for a reference point and ur extracts like a road or something to tell you where you are and where you need to go

Hey everyone... I'm still very new, lvl 2 I believe. I've figured out a few basic things but I'm still struggling to make it through a round and I've lost a lot of my starting gear as a result. Have managed to escape once on a quick scav run and have a few kills to my name but I could really use someone to play with to help me get the hang of things. Has been really tough solo.

I'm NA east coast, 31, pretty laid back but I do enjoy games like this a lot and would like to learn more & progress. If there's anyone out there who would be willing to lend some guidance, I'd appreciate it!

what is a good pvp helm and chest to run, budget and non budget? I always seem to have an issue fighting people in armor class 4 and higher, i understand im still expected to get 1 tapped but sometimes when i buy like...an airframe with visor and chops i still get 1 tapped by even the simplest weapons (even by scav AI's!)

@mellow lichen if you don't have the roubles to consistently buy them I'd just keep going for the green bucket helm and the lvl4 armored rig from rag

Eventually you'll start killing people with the expensive armors and helmets and won't have to pay for shit but maybe some repairs

Yea in lvl 25 rn and I reset my account at around 25 so I'm technically prolly somewhere between 30-40 but I still get worked pretty often and that's regardless of my gear

This game is less straight fun skill or gear and more learning and playing smarter

@somber thunder you would be lvl 30-31, but it really is. But you’re correct about running smart,I run light kits with friends all the time and come out successfully about half of the time (while friends have troubles without top tier gear).

idk, i just feel like i have bad luck, ive made so many shots that should kill people and dont (against t3/t4 armor and such), i just did woods 2 days ago with the t5 helm that looks like a welding mask (forget the name) and a t6 chest, scav murdered me with a shotgun.... i hit him 7 times with pvp ammo on my akm
