Quests and getting the "survived" rating in raids are the best way to level up. I also disagree. But only if you're playing with a teammate who is good/better than yourself. I find players often learn skills and tricks better playing with people who are familiar with the game. You don't have to play with them for long, but you have a distinct advantage playing with a level 10 plus friend and that is access to the flea market

Even if you are running with 5 it makes no difference all im saying is that you shouldnt hold there hand. You can play in groups if thats what suit you, but i recommend them not holding your hand. No problem with playing with others as thats what i did alot when i started.

Also, a big problem with starters is a lack of confidence (Confidence doesn't always mean that it is to a point where is not good). A good way to gain confidence is playing solo. Playing solo can give you confidence after a while. In My opinion, i feel as if confidence is atleast should be a big part of everyone's game.

And strength levelling is just a mess.
