Donāt overuse flea. Level the traders. They will sell you better stuff as you level them often for less than the price on flea. Armor will be new vs. damaged. Flea is players selling to players to make a profit. Taking advantage of those who cannot buy the same items from traders. To level traders you need to so a specified amount of transactions āspentā with them plus level character and trader reputation. Check prices for tech/hardware on Flea vs. therapist and sell to therapist if itās close. Weapons break down and sell to Skier then rest to Mechanic. Maybe check flea price for suppressors and some higher end optics vs. Skier price but donāt waste time selling basic weapon on flea.

@stiff mortar are you heeding @waxen forge's plan? Run Customs offline (it's not an overwhelmingly large map). Try different routes, try some battles. I found that I was getting overwhelmed the first few times, but then realized there are groups in various places. Once you get into it with 1, there will be others. So having that mindset helps. Practice healing, flanking etc. I'm not good enough to give advice, except for the small amount I've gained from this strategy. I still die, but not nearly as often. Oh I get wrecked every time online. If it gets boring, you can raise the AI difficulty

@stiff mortar you can make that car jump on customs. I did it (Level 3) once I got help here. It took me maybe 4-5 tries. Car with trunk open. Start on other end and sprint, wait until last minute and then leap.

One thing I can tell you is I havent progressed much, and I still pretty much suck a#@% but I understand the motivation behind the strategy and I am a bit better already for it. If you've got something more magical to help me, I am all ears. I have been running scav on IC and mostly offline on Customs. I would say I am not familiar enough with customs to not die, but I am familiar with its main points and getting back and forth. IC, not as much.

@icy summit I can't argue with your ideas. There are components to both approaches which help. I think what @waxen forge is doing is instilling a thoughtful approach. To understanding the components that are important. I just watched a video from Markstrom about Customs sitelines which I thought was an excellent and unique presentation of the Customs map. It is a very complex problem with many parts to learn. What I will say about me personally; I don't think help from a player will do alot. I am so crappy, I would hesitate to put that on anyone. Most of it is just being able to shoot a gun, and to pay attention and be patient.
