Hey gamers!
So, i just jumped on the hype train and bought this game, and i am really struggling with it.
The only good game i had was when i played a scav run and killed 5 guys and by luck found the extraction in factory, but other than that i just die.
I usually do good in any fps game (usually top of scoreboard in any COD match, and have a decent kdr in other survival shooters like hunt showdown) and have no problem getting into them, but god damn this is frustrating.
One of the main complaints i have so far is the trading.
I cant seem to find any way to seach for items or see what is compatible with what, without having to inspect every single item. At this rate i prolly use about 15-20 minutes just trying to buy stuff for my character, only to get into a map, maybe get a few kills and can't find the extraction and ultimately get shot and have to spend another freaking 15-20 minuttes trying to equip my character. This is already so tedius that i am seriously considdering just dropping the game, because damn...
Could anyone be so kind to maybe give me the run down on things and maybe do a few maps with me or something?
i like a challenge, but right now, i am just not having any fun at all.

@winged quail You asked awhile ago and it got lost in the chaos but here is the best way to mod. Upgrade Workbench in Hideout. Then go to flea and examine every weapon and weapon part. That will give you full functionality of the EDIT PRESET function. You can swap parts in and out at will and the parts do not need to be in stash to use this feature as this is a “virtual build.” If you like what you made you can “save” it with a custom name and it will allow you to buy all the parts with the Assemble puzzle piece. Use cog wheel in buy parts section to determine if you only buy from traders or include flea offers.

@quaint pawnTarkov servers have been overloaded the last couple weeks due to the massive influx of players due to twitch popularity. BSG is actively working on installing more servers as we speak, have patience and the game will go back to 1-3mins of matching queue time. They are extremely uncomfortable/overwhelmed at the moment with the mass influx of players , this game wasnt meant to handle that yet. You can keep up with their updates via #eft-announcements and Twitter. If you are matching for more than 10mins it's either the server or a matching bug, back out and try again or try another map. Make sure your servers are on autoselct within client or select a lot more servers in client. You will also experience trouble with bugs in stash and fleamarket cause of server stress, this stuff happens in a beta.

@tribal cove penetration of armour goes down as a ratio of current durability vs original max. So 20/20 on a helmet that started at 40 is still 50%. The exact amount that damage affects the ability of a round to penetrate is unknown (to me) though.
