SO something I figured out to level up real quick in the beginning if you're struggling to finish the tasks or get kills is do hatchling runs and die, then heal up from your stash. Get a few hundred xp. Getting me to level 5 so I can just buy the items I'm missing for the tasks and I've got the money to buy the healing supplies or make salewas myself

Bullets come the barrel, not the eyes in this game.

And then once you extract a few times against AI, try a scav run

When you play as scav, know that ai scavs are friendly to you, but player scavs can still kill you

Basically as a scav you want to avoid conflict and try to find corpses and containers that were missed. Scav runs spawn you into a raid that has already begun so you can end up with all the players still there, or only one left. As long as 1 is still in raid scavs can spawn.

OH and check filing cabinets whenever you see em. Each drawer is lootable and can give some pretty valuable and useful stuff (like keys)

I did that for a while, used scavs to learn maps etc, no risk at all, don't lose anything if you die and if you get out? Free loot.
@tacit mural I have no clue how scav aggro works, but normally if they can hear you they will aggro but some times scavs just know where you are, scav bosses will aggro futher and you will know about it.
