@nocturne flax First thing to do is RESET EXPECTATIONS. Doesn’t matter how much or how well you do in other shooters. This is a knowledge game. You will die and die due to lack of experience not gear. Experience. It will require persistence and commitment. You need to learn maps, scav behavior, PMC behavior, what is good vs. bad ammo. Practice OFFLINE mode, with scavs on, at Customs. Try to make it from spawn to exit 10 times. IF you can do this 50% of the time then you are ready for online. Finally did the quest, but @trim herald I want to share with you what happened; I went to the same spot again(Spine/Choke), this time making sure I also circled around the other passage, and around 18 with no scavs appearing I start hearing shots all around me, and another dude with a shotgun, but way better armor appears. I shot him like 15 times but he didnt die, so I circled him to try and suprise him but silenced m4 and sniper shots try to kill me but only blacken my arm(mind you I'm like around tent, still in the area, with trees all around me that are supposed to "protect me"), so I go to mid woods and in mid woods I find 3 scavs, easy kills. Then I have to chill because people are still around(I am between mid woods and mountain spine), and good thing that I had the zb-014 key, the "trap", because without it I couldn't have made it out in time.
Moral; no, scavs dont fucking spawn there and its full of pmcs, even snipers

Experience. It will require persistence and commitment. You need to learn maps, scav behavior, PMC behavior, what is good vs. bad ammo. Practice OFFLINE mode, with scavs on, at Customs. Try to make it from spawn to exit 10 times. IF you can do this 50% of the time then you are ready for online. Meanwhile use your scav at Interchange to get loot and learn the map.
