Not really, even a shitty unmodded ak can be controlled decently if you know the game
there is always an initial kick and then if you keep spraying it will always settle down more and more
so if you compensate for the first 1-8 bullets it will calm down and be decent

you can double left click to check the resources. if it says 0.00 its empty. so find a 100.0 one
the thing about tarkov is it basically controls it for you
it's more realistic than other games. If you keep spraying you get used to the recoil and it becomes easier and less sparatic. so thats how tarkov works
the more you spray the less it moves around. compared to most games where its the opposite

My example of how Experience overcomes is that last wipe (9 months long) I reset myself 4 months in because I was bored. Everyone else had top tier gear/ammo. I was level 1 with starter gear. I had to use what I had and progress. I was able to get most tasks done again and climb back up to 40 something level based on Experience.

Learn from the deaths, are you dying in common spots. Remember where you spawn. Other people spawn there, see what you can see off spawn.
If you die in a specific area lots, there's a reason. If you die within the first 2 mins chances are you don't know the common routes through the map, people move very predictably in the first couple of mins, slow down, watch more.

@plush leaf I'm also almost completely new and what I do so far is as a scav I just try to go to extract points and finding cheeky beeky ways to go through places. How to hide from players who are more geared and that you don't have chances against (Rust tactics) and looting and selling stuff and then buying new shit from the dealers. Understanding dealers and which ones are good for what items and realising which things are important

My advice is usually to try offline. Try to make it from spawn to exit 10 times on Customs with scav on. If you can do that 5/10 times then try online.

First think to do with EFT is reset expectations. Doesn't matter how many shooters you play or how well you do. This game rewards experience/knowledge and you will struggle as you gain that. Need to think tactically. "camping" is "bad" in COD but here it is tactical smart play. Learn maps, learn scav/PMC behavior. Learn what Good ammo is vs crap.

Record yourself. OBS is free. Shadowplay is built in if you have an Nvidia card and is not too resource intensive. Watch it back. You may be able to see what you did wrong. Also can go "live" on discord in one of the channels and have people watch you. They can tell you what you could do better.

Honestly, though. Favorite 556 is a stock ADAR, with one 60, and a few 30's, a foregrip, suppressor, and a 4x sight. Go onto interchange, or Customs, and just dink heads.

If you're really strapped for a cash, a good plan is to get the pumping station key, sit in there on factory and farm scavs with a pistol. wait for it to get quiet, grab all their shit, and dip.
