As long as you dont meet anything with a Gen4, you can use it on any map
Its ammo, it does damage, but like with anything else, ammo also needs enough pen to be useable against armor.

If for example you're gearing for a labs run you probably want high armor pen bullets so you can take care of armored PMCs and raiders

@naive talon generally keep junk, especially bolts, screwnuts, bulbs, wires, etc, until you are level 5. They sell disproportionately higher on the flea market than traders because they are used to upgrade hideouts and craft/barter items

@brittle chasm at this point, sell it/give it up for something better. Make sure when you're looting to think of item value in terms of square storage: a single bulb (~21,000r/sq) sells more per square of storage than, for instance, a power drill rn(7,000r/sq) even though its ~28,000 total.
