A lone scav is fair game. But you can also use them as a sort of alert system for players. A scav being at place x means that for now it’s somewhat safe. If it gets angry it’ll lead you to the enemy.

@forest steppe What I assume Arenas will be like is either you bring your own gear in but you don't lose it upon death, or you get a preset loadout, maybe a selection of a few different ones. And then you gain or lose ELO in a ladder system
But I doubt they'll ever make a spin off on Tarkov without the looting etc because that wouldn't be their vision of the game

with the resurgence of realistic shooters in the game space, (siege, pubg, etc) i think there is a lack of a round based game with super in depth systems such as tarkov. the rounds of siege and insurgency are great, lots of action, but still intense. the customization of tarkov is great, but looting is a large barrier to entry to experience that part of the game.
i want to reiterate looting is fun. no problem with looting

@bold kernel If you'd watch the play back you probably didn't hit as many rounds as you expected. Also if you're shooting center mass you're likely to hit arms as well and it takes a lot of rounds to kill if you're hitting arms. Also, if you're using base ammo for an ADAR that'd be 855 which doesn't do anything against any form of armour

if the scav has one shot you it means you stayed still too long. gotta try head shots and reposition so it cant lock on you. failing that you can hit the stomach and let em bleed out after a bit

@frosty plinth thx. I still do mistakes, but I always try to learn. For example today I was fighting a geared guy with an sks. He threw 5 nades at me, it took a while and was intense. Finally I hit him hard and fell down in a bush, surprise, he was not dead and I stood there in the open and stopped shooting. Bam. Dead. I did 375 dmg to armor, 293 dmg to body in 12 hits
